Granger noticed that Hetty seemed a bit off.
'You okay, Lange?'
'Yeah. Just feeling a bit tired after my workout.' She responded.
'You sure?' He asked, worried.
'Yes, It's usually an intense workout, Just a bit sacked, that's all. Just give me a bit.'
He didn't really believe her, but given that her workouts were usually an hour of pushups, sit ups, and others, 'Okay.'.
That evening, Hetty still looked off. She even went to bed not long after eating dinner.
Next morning, Granger woke up to see that Hetty was out of bed. The bathroom door was slightly open. He knocked.
'Hetty, you okay in there?'
She was next to the toilet, on the floor.
'Groan. I'm fine. Just something small.' She mumbled.
He walked over to her. Her head felt very warm.
'Hetty, your head is very warm, how long have you been here?'
'Mmm! Yesterday, I felt weird when I woke up. Figured that working out would help. It didn't. I felt weird all day, that's why I didn't eat much last night. I woke up sometime in the night feeling like I wanted to puke, been on and off all night, and I think I even slept here on the floor at some point because I have no memory of coming to bed in the wee hours and and...' Hetty blubbered, looking like she wanted to cry.
'Shh shh shh (gently stroking her hair), It's okay. So you're a little under a weather, it happens sometimes, I can help. Have you taken anything?'
'I think so, must have been a few hours ago. But I have no idea what time it was though because I never looked at the clock.'
'Okay. You'll feel better when I get you back to bed. Can you walk?'
'I don't know. I'm so tired, I feel like just sleeping right here.' Hetty said weakly.
Granger carried her back to bed.
'The tiredness is from all the puking, right?'
'Yes. No idea why my stomach was feeling that way yesterday, or why it happened all night.' Hetty mumbled.
'Colds can be like that. I'll get you something for your stomach.'
Hetty took the medicine, and slept all day.
That evening
'Mmm. How long have I been asleep?' Hetty mumbled.
'Close to 11 hours.' Granger responded. 'how are you feeling?'
'Better. I don't feel so tired. I actually feel kind of hungry.'
'Okay. That's good! Let's see if you can hold down soup.'
Hetty held the soup down. Granger saw that she looked really sad.
'Something up?'
'I feel like I completely ruined our honeymoon! Wedding night, you get diarrea. Then we don't do much of anything for 2 days. Now, I somehow get sick. Sniff. Just, why did all this happen?' Hetty sadly asked.
'Bad luck, I guess. You didn't ruin anything.'
'You sure?'
'I'm sure.' He responded, gently squeezing her hand.
She smiled. 'I love you.'
'I love you too.'
The next day
'Well, today's our last day here. What do you want to do?' Granger asked.
'Check the weather.'
'Says here, it's supposed to rain all day.'
'Hmm. How about, we just stay in bed all day?' Hetty asked.
'Sounds good to me!'
