Back when Hetty and Granger started dating, she wanted to keep their relationship a secret until she felt sure of where they would be going.
'You sure this isn't because you don't want to tell the team, mainly Callen, that we're seeing each other?' Granger asked.
'Okay, maybe that too. But I want to be sure of where we're going first before I start babbling about my dating life to our co workers.'
'So, I can't leave stuff on your desk?'
'I have a drawer open for you.' Hetty replied.
Granger wasn't sure if he'd like having to be private about their relationship, but after a while, he started to like it.
One morning, Hetty came to work, checked her bottom drawer, and saw a cutesy love note in it.
She called Granger to let him know she got the note.
'If I didn't know any better, I'd say you're enjoying this.' Hetty said, smiling.
'Well, we are used to secrecy. And I'll admit, this whole secret crush thing, it's starting to grow on me.' Granger replied.
'I'm enjoying it too.'
'Is it possible that I can take you some place nice tonight?'
'Yes, we just have to take separate cars.' Hetty replied.
'Gotcha.'
