Just the Way you Are

Breakfast

One morning, Granger was having trouble staying awake while Hetty made breakfast.

'Here's your bacon and eggs.' Hetty said, giving him the plate of food.

'Mmm. Thanks.' Granger sleepily replied.

'You feeling okay?'

'I'm fine. Just still a bit sleepy, that's all.'

'Well, hope you're fully awake later, because we have a guest coming by work today.' Hetty said.

'Oh right, I just remembered that.'

After 2 cups of coffee, Granger felt awake, but at dinner that night. He was once again feeling sleepy.

'I'll tell you what, if you're feeling that tired, how about just going to bed?' Hetty asked.

'You're not annoyed at me, right?' Granger replied.

'No, I just don't want you dozing off and landing face first in your food.'

'Thanks for your concern. I'll be turning in right now.'

The next morning, at breakfast

'Well, you look like you got a lot of sleep last night!' Hetty said, noticing how awake Granger looked.

'I did, and I feel pretty good!' Granger replied, feeling happy. 'You making pancakes?'

'Yup, and here you go!. She gave him a plate of pancakes with blueberries and syrup for eyes and a smiley face.

'Aww.'

'Just letting you know that I appreciate you.'
