'So, we're hosting Thanksgiving again?' Granger asked.

'Yes. It's a nice thing to do, Plus. I figured it'd be a way to get redemption on last year's disaster. Careful with those grocery bags.' Hetty replied.

'Thought you had forgotten about that.'

'Since when does a wife forget the time her husband blew up the turkey in the deep fryer?!'

'She doesn't?' Granger asked.

'Exactly. This year, I'm doing all the cooking, and the turkey will be in the oven this time, all you need to do is invite the team and make sure they show up.' Hetty replied.

When Hetty said she was serious about doing all the cooking, she meant it.

'With this meal plan, you'll be cooking all day. You sure you won't be too tired to enjoy Thanksgiving?' Granger asked.

'I have a lot of energy, I'll be fine.' Hetty insisted.

On Thanksgiving day, Hetty was up before dawn cooking all the food. When noon came around, Granger noticed she was getting tired.

'I think you should take a rest before you fall head first into something.' Granger said.

'I've still got more food to prep, including the turkey.' Hetty replied.

'Come on, I can take stuff out of the oven when it's ready.'

Knowing that she did feel a bit tired from all the cooking, she told him when to take and put stuff in the oven, and to wake her up in an hour or 2.

At 5:30 pm

'Hetty, time to wake up.' Granger gently shook her awake.

'Mmm. That nap felt good. What time is it?' She asked.

'5: 30 pm. Time to eat dinner.'

'WHAT?! But but, I told you to wake me up in an hour or 2?! I had a lot more food to make!'

'I invited the team over to help make the rest of the food, and I think we did a pretty good job!' Granger said.

'But, why did you do that?'

'Because you were tired and needed help. I know you wanted to do this all on your own because you wanted to prove how great of a cook you are, but it's okay to ask for help.'

Feeling very touched by his good deed, Hetty thanked him, and waited a couple minutes before coming downstairs.

When she came downstairs, she gave a speech that went something like this:

'Thank you all for coming to this feast, friends, co workers, spouses. Today is a day to feel grateful for all the good things we have in life. And I would especially like to thank my amazing husband, who realized I needed help when I didn't, and got all of you to help out. I love you, sweetie!'

'I love you too.' Granger replied.

The food was terrific.
