Granger woke up one morning and saw that Hetty was already up.

'Must be up watching the sunrise. Something she likes doing when we stay at this beach house.' He thought.

He went outside, and saw Hetty sitting, watching the sunrise.

'Good morning! Come have a seat.' She said.

He sat down.

'Beautiful, isn't it?' She asked.

'Yeah. Just out of curiosity, what is your thing with sunrises?' He asked.

'It started when I was overseas one time. I got up very early, and saw a beautiful sunrise. I grew to love them when we were in Vietnam some time later. To me, they were a sign of hope, a sign that I was still alive. 1st full day of being back home after being brought home from the hospital after surviving 3 awful months in a cage, I got up very early to watch the sunrise. Mr. Callen wanted me to go back to bed, but I told him it was important. We both went out and watched the sunrise, it was very beautiful. I felt so grateful to be alive in that moment. I was in pain, but it was so worth it.' Hetty said.

'That's, a beautiful story. I remember soldiers in Vietnam saying how grateful they were just to see the sunrise, but I never really got into it.' Granger replied.

'You know what I'm grateful for now? That I get to share these special moments with you.'

Smiling, 'Mmm. That's nice.'

'I'm taking my yacht out this evening to watch the sunset, want to come?'

'Sure'.

That evening, on the Lady H

'So, what's your special story with sunsets?' Granger asked.

'Well, someone that I knew a long time ago, took me out for a boat ride at sunset. It was beautiful, and peaceful. We went stargazing that night as well.' Hetty replied.

'Sounds great. Did he stick around long?'

'He was killed 2 weeks later. For years, when I saw a sunset, I would think on that night, and wonder if he really liked me, and if there was anything I could've done for him.' Hetty said, looking sad.

'So, when you see a sunset now, what do you think?'

'I still think of that night sometimes. I'm not so sad anymore when I think of it though. I remember that I have someone very special in my life now, and I can have so many sunset moments with that special person if I want to.'

Holding her hand, 'You are so sweet and sentimental, it sometimes makes me want to puke.' Granger said, sarcastically.

Hetty laughed. 'Love you too, you old grump!'
