~*3rd Person/Author POV*~

*Searching for Wuxian*

Lan Wangji was with Baoshan and his brother in a group to search for Wei Ying. Baoshan placed a tracking talisman on his robes and started to follow the trace. While they followed the talisman's trace it disappeared suddenly, that means the talisman was found or the robes were destroyed even with the talisman unknown. That only made Wangji panic more, but he kept that panic hidden on the inside. He couldn't hide it from his brother though, he know how to read Wangji too well, to notice is something was off.

"Wangji, it will be alright, we will find him," Xichen said in comfort.

"There has to be another way to trace him," Wangji said quietly.

"Ah," Baoshan had a thought and turned to Wangji, "Have you to been intimate?" She asked him outright. Wangji's ears started turning red and could only nod as he was nervous and a bit embarrassed to answer such a question, "Then you should be able to sense him, you two are soulmates, even though you are not married yet, you two dual cultivated which means you have the ability to sense where he is. You just have to focus on your senses and only think of him, don't think of dangers, nothing. Just think his of name, and his face."

Wangji nodded again and closed his eyes. He locked in his senses and focused all his energy on his soulmate only. It was then, he thought as if he could see a light blue string that was connected to him and lead off into the distance.

"Northeast," Wangji said opening his eyes. He could still see the string that led the way, "Fly on your swords." The three of them hopped on their swords and let Wangji lead the way. As he followed the string, it was occasionally blinking red then going back to blue. He started to wonder of Wei Ying was hurt.

"Lanling?" Xichen question, "Why are we heading to Lanling?"

"This is the direction I sensed Wei Ying," I answered as we stopped for a minute to look down at the Jin's palace.

"I can see a blue string, it leads to Koi Tower," I pointed.

"That is Jin Guangshan's area, right?" Baoshan questioned.

The two nodded, "Ruohan took him though, are they both working together?" Xichen wondered.

"It seems to be that way," Baoshan said, "We need to go, I am not waiting around anymore, I want my grandson out and safe, now."

Wangji looked at her and nodded in agreement, Xichen followed as they flew right to Koi Tower. The two hopped off their swords and saw that the place they were lead two had no guards. They stepped inside the doors and searched the room.

Wangji followed the string that lead to a bronze mirror, "Hey, this mirror is enchanted," He said and stepped in.

When he stepped in he saw Jin Guangshan threw a dagger at Wuxian and it pierced his bare chest. Wangji saw that Wuxian had bruised on his arms, torso, and face and had a bloody bite mark on his left shoulder.

"Wei Ying!" Wangji yelled as Baoshan and Xichen entered the room.

Wangji ignored Guangshan all together and to Wuxian. He pulled him carefully to his arms to check the area the dagger struck. Wangji was scared as the dagger was very close to his heart. Xichen took care of Guangshan and Baoshan went over to Wangji and Wei Ying.

"I need to get him to the mountain," Baoshan said, "Xichen, are you staying or following?"

"You two go, I will take care of Guangshan and Ruohan, send a message for news alright," Xichen said and dragged Guangshan out of the room to the reinforcements.

Baoshan took out a teleportation talisman and flashed them right into her house, "Wangji, can you get him to the bed there, I need to get some things, and if you can be ready to transfer some energy, he will need it so I can patch him up without his life slipping."

Wangji nodded and did as she said. Wangji placed him down and started transferring energy and Baoshan removed the dagger and health with the stab wound first then treated the others. When Wangji was not needed for the energy, Baoshan ask him to pick some herbs for her, and he knew where to get what she needed. He returned within thirty seconds and started brewing medicine as she instructed him in the process. After treating his wounds, Wangji brought Wuxian to he own bed. He and Baoshan now had to play the waiting game.

"How bad is the would from the dagger?" Wangji asked.

"Honestly, it just barely missed his heart. A few inches to the left and he would have died. Plus, where it hit, it was only by chance that we arrived when he got struck with the dagger," Baoshan answered.

"I was so scared," Wangji said choking back his tears, "I am not one to get close to others easily. I always gave off this cold and expressionless facade. My brother was the only person I could really be around most of the time. I wasn't like that as a child, until after our mother passed away, I closed myself up and turned into a block of ice. Then, I met Wei Ying, he gave me back the warmth that I kept away."

Baoshan sat closer to Wangji, "A'Ying has that affect on people, I think. I heard he even melted that old man Lan Qiren's heart a bit."

"He respects Wei Ying...but he also is afraid of you, Uncle just won't admit it," Wangji said.

Baoshan laughed, "Out of everyone, I am the only one who can scare that man."

"He doesn't get scared easily, but you managed to scare him," Wangji said laughing back.

The two laughed and talked about Wangji's family. What happened with his parents, and how Lan Qiren became his and Xichen's guardian. It was a good past time to keep them busy for a while. An hour or so a day, Wangji would go the the spiritual spring to gain his energy back and meditate, and then go back to being beside Wei Ying without leaving his side other then to eat. He even decided to put some blankets on the floor for him to sleep on beside Wei Ying's bed instead of laying in bed beside him to give him room to heal. Wangji would sit on a chair beside Wei Ying's bed hold his hand waiting for any sort of response. He would then tend to Wuxian's wounds for Baoshan and apply a cold press to try to suppress the fever Wuxian had.
