Arthur and the others appeared in the cupboard that was under the stairs leading to the servant’s quarters. It was dark, even with the light on it was dark.
“Ouch,” cried With, “something spiked me in my behind.”
“Where are we?” moaned Arianne.
“A very small dark room?” suggested Alf, “in fact I think it’s a cupboard.”
“How can you tell?” asked Arthur forgetting about Alf, Trelainne and Sid’s night vision.
“With is trying to sit on a broom and he has his foot in a bucket.”
“Set pistols to glow,” ordered the king.
“Do you think you’re in Star Trek or what?” questioned Sid as he, along with the others, set his pistol to glow.
“You are right,” agreed Arthur, “we are in a cupboard.”
“The IWTs safety mechanisms must have directed us here,” explained Lee.
“I don’t feel very safe with this broom,” moaned With.
“On a broom in the Witch King’s cupboard,” said Sid, “how pertinent.”
“How impertinent,” blustered With, “I am not a witch!”
“Steady on,” calmed Sid, “don’t get on your high broomstick.”
“Shouldn’t we be a bit quieter?” warned Lee, “We don’t want to draw attention.”
“I don’t have a pencil,” joked Sid, “so I can’t draw anything.”
“Right,” ordered Arthur, “be a bit quieter everyone. Here is what we are going to do. We will split up into twos and look for Fawh. When some of us find him then the some of us who do will attempt to rescue him.”
“Shouldn’t we scan for him first?” asked Biggs.
“Ooh,” oohed Arthur, “where did you get such a sensible idea, been taking sensible pills?”
Biggs looked at Sid, “You’re right you know Sid, he’s not as funny as you.”
“Puff,” puffed Arthur, “Sid you are with me, Biggs and Alf, the girls, With and Lee.”
“I want to go with Biggs,” demanded Sid.
“Why?”
“He’s just been nice to me which is a lot different from the way I get treated with you.”
“I suppose I could team up with Alf, he’s a lot more pleasant than you,” thought Arthur, “come on let us go. Keep in touch with comms in case whoever finds Fawh needs backup.”
“You need to back up,” said Sid.
“Why?”
“The door opens inwards and you’re standing in front of it.”
As they exited the cupboard Alf began to scan for Fawh.
“What are you doing?” wondered Arthur.
“I am scanning for Fawh. That was a good idea of Biggs’s” replied Alf.
