Every good story starts with a beer and a huge mistake. Chaeyoung starts with Lisa bringing over her celebratory bottles of wine - yes, plural.
What they were celebrating? Lisa coming out to her parents, which is a pretty big deal but Chaeyoung doesn't get why she have to drink since she's still hidden very well in the closet.
"Come on! show some friend support" and downs her glass filled of wine
and so yeah Chaeyoung showed support.
Cut to 2 bottles of wine and Lisa is installing a dating app on both their phones, "I'm out and I need a date and you can be my closeted wingman" The thai slurs
They spent the rest of the night giggling through profiles and swiping - or at least that's what Chaeyoung remembers and she doesn't remember well because when she wakes up with Lisa hogging her sheets and a massive headache - she sees three messages on her phone.
"Oh no" is the only thing that came out her mouth
Three hours later, the headache from all the drinking is still very much there but the panic and regret is taking over. Chaeyoung was flailing her arms at a sleepy Lisa, "I gave my phone number to a complete total stranger Lisa!"
"Ugh, Chae stop shouting and just block the number dude" Lisa reaches for a bottled water on her fridge, "Also you can just play along with it - and you saw the profile of that girl she's hot"
"That's easy for you to say - you didn't give out your phone number to a total stranger"
Lisa chuckles, "Yeah, I didn't" and in the exact moment Lisa's phone beeped and an unknown number sent a text, They both looked at the message on the screen and Chaeyoung feels a lot better
"so you are equally stupid as me" She mused and laughs at Lisa's horrified face upon realizing that she gave her number to a stranger as well

Turns out it wasn't half bad since their "matches" or whatever are perfect gentlewomen and knows how to respect boundaries - and Chaeyoung is a sucker for those women. She finds herself talking to the stranger who identified as Jisoo Kim on most of her free time and it seems that Lisa is enjoying her match as well because one afternoon after her college class she was greeted by a smiling Lisa which can only mean two things - she either did something incredibly smart or something incredibly stupid and she needs to drag Chaeyoung with her
"NO" is what she immediately says
"But you haven't heard about what it is yet" Lisa whines
"I don't have to - you have the same face when we got grounded for the whole summer in Junior high"
"I agreed to a meet up-"
There it is. Chaeyoung throws her hands in the air.
"-It's a double date" Lisa adds with a pained smile
"NO" Chaeyoung gasps
"-I said you'd come with your match"
She almost drops her coffee mug, "I'm gonna kill you"

Chaeyoung doesn't kill her but she did throw a water bottle straight to her head and she ends up agreeing to her double date.
Weirdly enough her match agrees with the meet up and was actually very enthusiastic with it - she didn't expect Jisoo to be such an outgoing person since her picture suggested otherwise but maybe that's just her brain working all sorts of creative scenarios
The agreed date was Saturday 6pm, too early for dinner but if one of their dates ended up being a disappointment they can still drink.
Jennie - Lisa's date, arrives at 5:50om on the dot and her best friend was still picking up her jaw from the floor because damn! Jennie looks straight out of a cosmopolitan magazine even with just jeans and a shirt.
