"But he needs a playmate, Your Majesty!"

Ares scoffed after he heard his Tita Eunice's statement. "Why would he need one when we're clearly here?" Hindi niya maintindihan ang logic ng Chancellor.

Hera hummed, stabbing a weird doll with one button in front and the other behind as an eye. The doll's lips are diagonally sewed under the one eye in front. She continued stabbing the doll's chest part with a fork.

"Kuya's right, unfortunately. We're good playmates!" She proudly smiled widely as she met Eunice's gaze.

Eunice smacked her lips together firmly as her gaze trailed to the doll's weird face, Hera's grinning one, and the fork inside the poor doll's chest.

"Anyways..." She ignored her. "As I was saying, Your Imperial Majesty. Loki needs a decent and sane playmate."

Hera's smile dropped and Ares grumbled after Eunice put an emphasis on the words decent and sane.

"I'm sane and decent!" Hera huffed.

"You're not." Ares scoffed.

"Kids need to enjoy themselves and play around, Your Majesty." Eunice continued to explain. "It'll help them grow, and without regrets too kasi nagawa na nila ang lahat ng gusto nila at an early age."

"I must admit, Tita Eunice is right." Hades suddenly said kaya nagningning ang mga mata ni Eunice while both Hera and Ares looked at him with betrayal and disbelief. "He's still a kid. He should enjoy himself more."

"So... Playmates?" Sigyn tilted her head bago napunta ang tingin sa bunso niyang anak na nakaupo sa hita niya, peacefully eating his cookies and cream ice cream without any care in his surroundings.

"No. Don't even think about it." Ares glared at his mother. "Besides, Loki is beyond kids his age. He's amazing and a member of the Imperial Family. Do you really think someone can just become his playmate when he's clearly out of their league?"

"Right, right!" Hera beamed, nodding her head.

"Then, we just have to find a kid that is closer to his rank! To his amazing background!" Eunice clapped her hand dahil sa ideya niya.

The two middle children clicked their tongues in annoyance dahil sa bawat rason nila ay may solusyon ang tita nila. As expected of the Chancellor of the empire.

"And, do you have someone in mind?"

Knowing Eunice, may naka-reserve na siyang ideya and back-up plans to persuade the Empress, her sister. Kumbaga, meron siyang plan A to plan Z.

Sigyn can only sigh at her sister's antics.

"I do!" Tango-tango ni Eunice. "How about the daughter of Duke Lerwis? She's from the family na nasa baba lang ng Imperial Family. I heard she's also the smartest sa ka-edaran niya in the society. Juliette Lerwis is fit to be Prince Loki's playmate!"

Loki froze when he heard the name from his tita's mouth. He slowly looked at the grinning Chancellor who seemed proud of her choice.

Playmate... Lerwis... Prince Loki...

Is she kidding right now?! Gusto niyang maging playmate yung character na gustong iwasan ni Loki mismo?! What should he do?! What should he do?!

Loki stared at his tita before tears started to fill his eyes.

"Playmate?" He mumbled pero narinig naman ng lahat sa throne room so everyone's attention went to him.

"But... I have Mama and Tita and Kuyas and Ate... Why are you finding a playmate for me?" He started to sniff. "You don't want to play with me anymore?"

A dramatic gasp can be heard from Hera before she immediately walked towards her little brother.

"Of course not, sweetheart!" Tanggi niya bago masamang tinignan ang kanilang tita. "See?! I told you it's a bad idea!"

"Oh, will you look at that?" Ares smirked, eyes glinting as he wrapped his palm on the hilt of his sword. "Someone made that ugly thing cry."

"Calm down, everyone." Hades sighed, walking towards his youngest brother before kneeling before him.

Kalmado niyang pinunasan ang luha nito.

"Loki, we love you and we love spending time with you but isn't it better to have a friend your age? You'll understand each other better."

"Yeah, we get what you meant but!" Hera stepped in. "Why a girl?"

There's a reason why Hera is acting like this.

In this era, there's nothing wrong if you became friends with the opposite sex but being playmates is a different story.

Being playmates with the opposite sex in this era means having a higher chance that they will wed each other. It's much more serious right now though because Loki is a member of the Imperial Family and that means, whoever becomes his playmate will be a candidate to become his wife and a member of the highest family in the Aileth Empire.

"But, Your Imperial Highness... Ang mga lalaking ka-edaran ni Loki ay miyembro ng low-ranking nobles lamang. Yung mga lalaki naman na nasa high-ranking nobles are too stupid for our wonderful boy." Eunice didn't even filtered her words. "Juliette is the only fitting one to become Loki's playmate. From her family background, talents, beauty and wits."

"She's a Lerwis." Parang may bahid ng lason pa ang pagbanggit ni Ares sa apilyedong Lerwis.

"Everyone else is better than a Lerwis." Hera hissed.

"How about Duke Ricarda's niece?" Hades interfered dahil mukhang papatay na ang dalawa niyang kapatid. "How old is she?"

"She's the same age as Princess Hera." Eunice blinked.

"Then, it's settled." Hades said na ipinagtaka ng lahat except for their mother who's busy combing Loki's hair backwards. "She'll become Heathrania and Lokesio's playmate."

"Eh?" Hera pointed to herself. "Me too, Kuya? Why?"

"She's the same age as you so others wouldn't be suspicious of you when you join the two of them." Hades explained.

Kumunot naman ang noo ni Hera. "And why would I want to join them?"

"Despite being older to Loki, that doesn't mean she wouldn't be attracted to him."

Hera gasped when he heard her oldest brother.

"Loki's the most amazing human, everyone will like him."

"So, I will also become their playmate para bantayan sila so she can't seduce our little brother!"

Hera finally understood what Hades meant.

Ares already knew of Hades' plan when he heard that Hera will also join them.

"This is perfect!"

She grabbed Loki's hands na nabitawan ang glass of ice cream niya, good thing Hades caught it.

"Don't worry, Loki! Ate will protect you from girls! No one can take you away from us!"

"That sounded so suspicious and creepy." Ares tilted his head, thinking.

"Well, it's settled. then" Sigyn looked at her sister who kneeled, waiting for her orders.

She looked at Loki who nodded at her, agreeing to what's happening kahit na naguguluhan siya sa dahilan kung bakit sasali si Hera.

Sigyn looked back to her sister who's still waiting for orders from her, the Empress of the empire.

"Summon Cherish Ricarda Daivat tomorrow here in the palace."
