Chapter 4 [Proofed]

Chapter 4

We can hear someone calling from outside of the woods as we were walking out. Steve and I come out first to see Jonathan and Nancy.

"Steve?!"

"Y/n?!"

"Nancy?!"

"Jonathan?!"

They walk over to us, "what are you doing here?!" She questions.

"What are you doing here?" Steve asks.

"We're looking for Mike and Will."

"They're not in there, are they?" Dustin asks.

"We're not sure," Nancy squints her eyes in suspicion.

"Why?" Jonathan asks.

There was a larger screeching sound in the distance again and we all turn towards it. We all then start asking questions and arguing. Nancy trails off and looks towards the lab. "The powers back."

We all look. Johnathan rushes to the gate booth. We all just look around and wait 'till they can open the door. Dustin rushes inside and tries to help.

The doors finally open and Nancy, and Johnathan hop in Johnathan's car and rush to the lab. The rest of us just hangout near the gates until they come back. We see cars speeding over here and we quickly get out of the way and hop in Jim's van. "Come on hurry! Get in! Get in!" We all shout at each other. We successfully get in and drive off.

We arrived at the Byers house. Steve is pacing around the house. I am looking around for food in the fridge. Hopper is arguing on the phone, and the kids are sitting at the kitchen table. "You guys want some berries and whip cream?" I look around in the fridge.

"Yes!" Everyone says simultaneously.

I make a mix of berries and whip cream for the kids and sit down to eat while we wait for Hopper to get off the phone.

We were eating when Hopper angrily hangs up. "We stay here and we wait for help."

I get up and walk to doorway of the live room and kitchen. I sit down on the floor, laying on frame. I close me eyes until I hear Steve sit down in front of me. "Crazy how we go from barely talking to each other to babysitting kids together," I laugh.

Steve laughs as well, "yeah, never thought we would get into this mess again, huh?"

"Yep," I look at the kids and look back at Steve who was already looking at me. "You know, what if we die?" I mutter to Steve.

"I don't know, we just have to look cool while dying though," he laughs slightly.

I chuckle and shake my head. Mike comes inside the kitchen, "Did  you know that Bob was the original founder of Hawkins AV?"

"Really?" Lucas asks.

"He petitioned the school to start it and everything. Then, he had a fundraiser for equipment. Mr. Clarke learned everything from him. Pretty awesome, right?"

"Yeah."

"We can't let him die in vain." Mike says.

"What do you want to do, Mike? Alright, the chiefs right on this. We can't stop those demo-dogs on our own."Dustin shakes his head.

"Demo-dogs?" Max raises her eyebrow.

"Demogorgon, dogs, Demo-dogs. It's like a compound."

"We get it, Dustin" I nod.
