38- How Nerd's Day Can End?

Carl's P.O.V.

May steel hard head talaga si Dare. Kanina pa niya ginugulo si Jane pero hindi niya makuhang walang pakialam 'to. From being a gentleman and pushing back a chair for her, he also got crazy in ordering foods. Simpleng cafe lang ito, but he still managed to order a lot! Really, nag-aaksaya siya ng pera at pagkain.

"Here's the blueberry muffin, Ma'am." Binigyan ng waiter si Jane ng 'not-ordered-food' at some more. Our table got crowded.

"How are we all going to eat these?" Thea silently whispered. Her eyes expanded as more plates of foods came. "Ang dami talaga."

"Ha-ha," Theo laughs dryly. "Dare, ang dami nito ah. Last time I remember, ayaw mo naman ng sugars."

Dare shrugged, looking blankly at the sweet fiesta he created. "Anong marami? You should ask Doll what she wants."

That kills the mood. Parang sinabi na rin niyang bumili siya ng marami dahil picky si Jane. We consciously become aware of her reaction, but there was nothing. She simply acts like she didn't heard anything before proceeding to the assignments. I picked my notebook, listening as she starts.

Everyone becomes serious. We wrote down together our thoughts, pero hindi si Dare. He only observed. Being concern to our task, for the purpose of this group study, seemed to be not his priority.

Surprisingly, he respected the whole time of our study. Wala siyang ginawa kundi ang makinig. Ganun lang siya all time, parang ewan. Buti wala si Sam, tatawnaan lang siya nun. Nakakahiya na siya eh.

"Okay, that's the last number?" L asked, confirming the pack up. Thea answered her.

"Yes, 'yan na lahat. It's almost seven p.m., uwian na."

Nagliligpitan na kaming lahat nang mapansin ko how Dare leaned a little to Jane's side.

"Doll, I'll drive you home."

"Alrighty, let's go home!"

Di nakinig ni Theo iyun dahil sinabayan niya ito. For Jane, I think she heard him. Nagsitayuan kaming lahat. Date is still sticking close to his prey. Alex raised an eyebrow.

"Jane, are you coming with me?" He asked.

"Oo. Sabay-sabay na kaming tatlo." Pumunta siya sa mga kaibigan niya. Thea energetically swung her arms to them.

"Uwian na!"

Kung ano ang kinasaya niya, iyun ang kinainis ng mukha ni Dare. His hands brushed harshly on his face. Frustration is getting strongly visible. Naku, warning na sa amin iyun.

"Doll, tsk." His hand extends to grab her elbow but it didn't completely reached her. Napailing na lamang siya sa inis, lalo na't nung sumunod si  Jane kay Alex na walang kaalam-alam sa presensiya niya.

Isn't he too reliable on her?

Hindi naman siya dating ganiyan. Never in my life I saw Dare following a girl, even in his previous relationships. Meron siyang girlfriends na hindi seriyoso. However, his actions towards Jane is very different. Dinaig pa niya ang boyfriend kung makahabol at mainis sa di pagpansin sa kaniya ni Jane. Nakakatawa sila.

"Wai—wait, Doll." He removed some chairs to chase behind them.

Thea careened her head, she heard him. "Jane, I think may tumatawag ata sa iyo."

"Hayaan mo lang."

From what Jane answered, I made a move. Ako na ang pipigil kay Dare. Mukha na siyang tanga eh. Kita namang si Alex na ang maghahatid, humahabol pa. I tap his shoulder. "Bro, umuwi ka na. You won't get to understand her dahil parehas naman kayong nasa game kanina."
