The third term was starting today, and by the end of the work study I finally got some hold of Rewind. Not as much as the others had improved and there were still times, I couldn't use it at all, but I was doing better. I just... still didn't trust myself with it. Today we were going to Ground Alpha to show off our progress. Or would have been but I was asked to go to the office with Aizawa. When I arrived, Present Mic was there too.

We were told to go to Tarturus. My eyes widened as it was explained that it was about the Nomu's and as I knew the most about them, I was to go as well. I had been keeping this part about them quiet. "Can't we go any faster?" I had my head down as we sat in the blue sports car.

Maybe I should have brought this up sooner? "Enough already. Calm down." I glanced up to the two men. They were both obviously either nervous or unnerved. That couldn't have been a good sign. Especially if Mic was showing his true feelings so openly. What could have happened?

Aizawa leaned back in his seat. "This is taking poor taste too far." Mic didn't believe it. I just stayed silent, letting my eyes settle on the world outside the window of the car. There was the hope that Mr. Tsukauchi and the others were wrong, but I knew better than to believe it.

When we arrived one of the officers placed the usual restraints around my neck and wrists when I came to visit Kai. Aizawa and Present Mic were both given the activation buttons. "As you're all aware, Nomus are humans whose bodies have been bioengineered to withstand multiple Quirks. However... they're not living humans." He wasn't wrong, I don't remember if they died in the process or if they were already dead. "They're a complete mess, from their brains to their hearts."

The man leaning against the wall looked familiar... Did I meet him before or after I came back? "Nomus truly are puppets. Marionettes, with no will of their own. Or so we thought." I glanced up to see Aizawa's expression.

It was dark, so stressed, on edge and nervous. "Gran Trino, we skipped our classes to come here. Please keep this short." Present Mic placed a twitching hand on Aizawa's shoulder. He kept telling him to calm down, though I think he was telling himself that more than anything.

I took a deep breath. "It needs to be said. Let's not skip any steps. It's also so we can be in a propeller state of mind."

The metal door opened with two men standing further inside. "This guy's a core member of the League of Villains. If we could get him to talk, we could hit them hard, but sadly, he makes no attempt to tell us anything important. He'll talk about trivial things, but when it comes to info that would put the League at a disadvantage, he suddenly goes unresponsive, as if he's been switched off." I followed them deeper into the room. "In other words, it's so elaborate, it took us time to realize what it was."

Sitting in the chair on the screen was the Warp Gate, I hadn't seen him in a very long time. I guess it was time to reveal that information. I knew who he was, exactly who he was. There were words thrown around by All for One when I first arrived about trying to make me like him. One of the first Nomu's... Kurogiri.

The man continued speaking. "Multiple factors have been combined to form a single new Quirk. And the factor that served as its base belonged to the man with whom you shared joys and sorrows with at U.A. High School." Mic had a frown, Aizawa had a hand covering his face. "The one who-- as far as we know-- lost his life at a young age. We've duduced it is exceedingly similar to the Quirk of Oboro Shirakumo."

I lowered my head, I didn't even know if I could undo what was done to him, or if I did... would he die again. "I'm sorry. If I had known..." My fingers were digging into the cloth around my arms again, if I had known... would I have told them? No, because of these very reactions. Kurogiri was made into a Nomu long before I was born, about five years or so ago.
