Endless Fighting

I knew where Midoriya would start fighting. So I tried to avoid that area. Not that I was going to be able to do much with these injuries. If only Reset worked on myself like other people. No, I can't think of that now. I need to focus on this villain I just took down. He was tied up in the capture tape that I had collected a stock of. Dragging him to a prison would be out of the question too. I really should have thought my plan out more. It's just... There's no going back now. What would the point be?

No matter what I do, the result is the same, and until I master Reset... I can't stop Big Brother Shigaraki. I can't even figure out how I'm going to stop him. He is still Big Brother Shigaraki, the one who waited by my side after All for One was done with his experiments on me. As much as I hate him for what he did to Kai, he is still like family to me. I hate this conflicted feeling, I just want it to stop. Though, I know it won't until All for One is brought to justice.

Still, the time is approaching, Midoriya's fight with Lady Nagant... it starts tonight. There are two things I need to do. The first is to make sure that All Might makes it, the second is to save Kai. I want to see him again, even if it's for just a moment. As the clouds grew dark and the rain fell from the skies I made my move. Two Villains were attacking All Might, holding giant nails. From one of the buildings I jumped down, my knee slamming against the first one's head.

He was unconscious as soon as his head hit the street. One of the nails still ran into the black car. All Might had jumped out to dodge them. My fight with the next one started. "Don't move. If you try, you will be down before you know what hit you. Try to touch All Might, and the same. Now, play nice, and stop. I will twist fate this time, I won't fail to save those who I chose to be my family. This time, I will win. If something ever happens to them again... it'll be because I'm dead!"

The man fell back and All Might stood from where he'd landed, lifting his briefcase. "(Y/n)." As he stared at me, I limped closer, hand on my side. It was time to knock him out and save Kai.

Lifting my leg, I brought it down on the base of his neck, watching the nail man fall to the street. "Now then... Kai... I'm coming for you." All Might's hand was reaching for me, but I froze time and ran to the building he would be standing on. I knew where Lady Nagant left him. I was going to make it there in time to save Kai. He was screaming off the roof as I walked up, rain drops frozen and absorbed in my clothes as I stepped closer to him.

Reaching forward, I pulled him towards me, the purple and pink swirl of a bullet coming closer each passing second. My eyes closed as I pushed him back, time resuming like it was supposed to. Kai stared at me as he fell back, the bullet missing me by a small margin as Midoriya flew past. Midoriya looked between the two of us, Kai staring at me. "I'll talk to you two later, Chisaki, (Y/n)." As he launched himself away from me, I walked over to Kai.

A false smile on my face as my arm held my side tightly. "Let's go, Kai. I still have a lot of work to do... and someone needs to answer for what happened to you." Behind me, Lady Nagant exploded. I never was able to save her, how could I save someone working for All for One? This time though... Maybe that was something I needed to do. Something All for One would never expect of me. I walked with Kai, my hand at the base of his back. His eyes kept falling on me.

He looked like he wanted to say something. I just... didn't know what it was. "(Y/n)... are you happy? With where you are now, was everything I did for you... what you did for yourself... worth it?"

Happy? "No, Kai. I don't remember what happiness is anymore. After all... you were the only person... I ever felt any sense of ease around before... before Shoto. I think to get that back... I need to fight for those I have left, even if it destroys me in the end. After all... I always thought the world was black and white. I never realized... how much grey was in it. I.... don't know what to do with grey. What am I supposed to do Kai, when those who I chose to be my family... are the ones who betrayed me the most? Do I give up? Do I fight them? Do I surrender? All I know... is that I don't want to lose anyone else. To do that, I need to start here, and save those I chose to be my family, and my friends."
