Time Stamp: Shoto x Reader

Before a Test

"The only ----- is the ----. Do you think --- ---- us it? After all --- ---- beat --- ----." When I woke everything around me felt hazy. There was something strapped to my face, and something else making a beeping noise in my ear. I could also feel something in my arm, and a steady drip of some kind of liquid.

Who was talking anyway... and how many people were in the room? "I don't --- --. ---- problem is --- --- ---- to have an episode. We ----- ---- no ------- to stop it." That was... that weird mammalian principal's voice. He seemed deep in thought. "Aizawa. ---- --- seem clo-- to --- -- her ---mates?"

Aizawa was here too? "Todoroki and Midoriya are --- ---- two that ---- to mind." That was certainly his gruff voice, not only that but they were starting to sound clearer. Making out my surroundings was getting a little easier. "What are you thinking? That we just leave her in their care?"

A bit of a hum could be heard much closer to where I was. "That might be a good idea. I think those two are capable of it, and it would be good for her if we expect her to adjust to normal society. She didn't use her ability when she could have to warn them of our attack. Either that or before she could, she panicked. I do remember Shigaraki sticking her with a needle before they were suddenly taken by All for One."

That name made my heart beat faster. A small hand made its way to my head. "It seems she's starting to come out of it. Perhaps you could discuss this later. For now, she needs to remain calm and get some more rest. Unfortunately, my quirk doesn't work on her so all her wounds will have to heal on their own. As it stands, most physical related quirks don't work on her. That could explain why Shigaraki is so attached to her."

Just hearing his name, I felt my breath catch in my throat. I had started to get the feeling that he had really meant to hurt me this time. This had been all my fault for not saving All for One. Not that it mattered, I had started to grow sleepy again. The machine next to me even started to settle its beeping down. At least until I couldn't hear it anymore.

Awakening for the second time was easier than the first. The monitor was still beeping but the thing over my face had been taken off, leaving something blowing air through my nose. My eyes twitched as I tried to get them open. Something was also touching my head. "Are you sure it's alright for us to be here?" That voice sounded familiar, and shaky.

That was when Recovery Girl spoke. "Hmm, yes. Aizawa, All Might, and the principal all agree that you should be here when she wakes up. Seeing friendly faces should help aid in her recovery as well as establishing trust between us and herself. Especially if we expect to see any true progress, we believe it has to be the two of you."

Managing to force my eyes at least slightly open, I could just make out some white and green hair. "To-do-roki? Mi-dor-iya? Where-?" I started but ended up stopping as pain spiked on my left side. A small grunt like groan passed my lips with a slight pick up from the noise of the machine. The small woman I had been staying with made her way beside me.

Her hand wrapping over mine to show me the cast covering my arm. "You were beaten, do you remember that?" I tried to nod, but found it too painful to move my neck. So instead, I just gave a single long blink. "I see, here, let me up the pain medication in your IV. That should help some."

As she fiddled with the line that led to my arm Todoroki and Midoriya both looked at me. "Hey, (Y/n), do you... do you know why they did that to you? I thought you said they wouldn't hurt you. Or at least Shigaraki wouldn't."

What was I supposed to say? "We... had a disagreement. There are times... that even when I use my... quirk to go back to a previous day... I can't change the outcome. I know... how to tell... when the outcome... will be different and when it won't. When I told him... that even if... I warned them about the.... Impending raid... All for One... would still have been... Arrested... he didn't take... it kindly."
