Class was starting and I was getting ready to once again stare out the window when Aizawa made his announcement. "Well, it's almost time for summer vacation, but of course, it wouldn't make sense for you to rest for the whole month. During summer vacation, we'll have a training camp in the woods!" As per usual, this class gets overly hyped until Aizawa uses his ability to quiet them down. "However. Those who do not pass the final exam before that... will be in summer school hell." Of course, that didn't bother me either seeing as my grades in this class were some of the highest.
(3rd POV)
In a tall building speaking with an image of Shigaraki on the computer screen the man behind the League of Villains waited. "Hero Killer... I didn't think he'd get caught, but everything else pretty much went as expected. With this, those who want to go wild or who sympathize with him will seek out the League of Villains as a place to release their urges. Shigaraki Tomura will be put in a position where he must unify all of them."
The man he was speaking with spoke as well. "I believe things will move faster if you go out before them, though, master."
This just made the man laugh. "Then hurry up and fix my body, Doctor..."
"If only we'd gotten our hands on super regeneration five years earlier... After your wounds healed, it was just a useless Quirk. We could have also used that girl's quirk, if only the child hadn't lost them. The leader of the League of Villains, huh? I wonder if that child can really do it..." The doctor spoke, thinking about the damage that had occurred with the fight.
Not that it bothered this man in the slightest. "It's fine. I'll have him work hard- in order to have him the next 'me.' That child was born with the twisted sense of need for that. Celebrate while you can, All Might- Celebrate this farce of a temporary peace."
((Y/n) POV)
For the next week I made sure I had everything I needed for the exam. I did share first place with Yaoyorozu in the midterms, having taken them in a separate room. Perhaps I could one up my last scores and just be in first completely. Who knows. "Hey, (Y/n), would you like to study with me?" Todoroki asked one day during lunch as we were walking down the hall.
I turned to see if he was serious. "I don't mind, but it would either have to be in the morning before class starts or during lunch. Since the last incident during the internships... I haven't really been able to get out of Recovery Girls place."
He seemed to have a different plan for that. "I already asked about that, actually. They said you could come over to my place. After all, my dad is the number two hero." So, I agreed and left it at that. With that we got into the lunchline and headed to the table he sat at with Midoriya and Iida.
Iida was already thinking about other things when we started eating. "The practical exam, huh? It's kind of scary since I can't tell what'll be on it." Some of us really weren't that concerned with how it was going to go, but when the people from class B showed up and told us about the robots... I had my suspicions. Still, I just had to be ready for whatever came my way.
Of course after lunch Boom Boom boy called out Midoriya, Todoroki and myself about the exam scores and finding out who was better. I just yawned rather bored of it. I really didn't see why this had to be a competition, but a lot of things in the hero world seemed to revolve around the sense of being number one. Still, I ended up helping Todoroki with his studying and he helped me with the practical part of the exam. Even if I constantly felt his father's eyes melting my skull.
When exam day came around the first day was the written part. My handwriting was neat because of how Kai liked things. So it looked almost typed out onto the sheet. The written part took three days. The next part was going to be a little different. The practical exam took place in the Center Plaza of the Exam area, with of course several pro heroes standing by.
We were supposed to form teams of two and fight against the teachers. I, as per usual, was left on my own as the pairs were already predetermined. As well as who we would be facing in the mock battle. I was up against Midnight. Finally, there was going to be a handicap, well for the other students. Due to my background and them not knowing fully what I was capable of, I was technically the one on the handicap side of the straw. My limmiters were reduced back down to five seconds for this fight.
I had no objections. I would only need five seconds to put the cuffs on Midnight as soon as I found her anyway. It was just going to be a matter of getting close enough with my own power to use my Quirk. As I thought about it, the number of passes were 8/10 before I went to my battle. Though the one I thought was the funniest was the battle against Present Mic in the forest. The... fish mountain looking kid controlled some bugs and the guy fainted. I practically died laughing on the floor. Most people were cringing with horrified looks going from the screen to me rolling in laughter.
On the other hand, the most difficult match to watch was that between boom Boom boy and Midoriya against All Might. With how aggressive that one was, and especially towards the others in his class... whether they won or lost the practical exam would all depend on him controlling his anger. Just after it started, things were already going down hill quickly. They were completely uncoordinated, and as usual Boom Boom boy was yelling at Midoriya.
Even when they did start working together, it was only by chance. You could see the rage the blonde boy had having to deal with Midoriya. Still, after the blast, they went running for the gate. Not that that lasted long, they were both powerless against him. In general All Might had three things on his side. Speed, power, and stamina were all in his favor. In the end though, they did manage a win, but I thought something seemed off with All Might.
What was it again? 'He hit me as he was saving them. It's the violence of a government official. He's fast, as expected. I can't follow him with my eyes. But not as fast as I thought he'd be. I guess it's true, after all... that he's getting weaker.' Shigariki said something about All Might getting weaker... and that mist coming from his body.... What is that?
I was thinking about it as I walked to the forest area for my test. "Team (L/n), practical exam. Ready, go!" As I ran through the tree branches, I thought about it. Though, I had to clear my head to think about it properly. I was up against Midnight, and therefore had to be careful. If I so much as breathed in that gas she produced, that was going to be it for me.
My strategy was pretty much to hold my breath, even moving at a running pace, I was good for about a minute at a time. So long as I wasn't punched in my gut, I wouldn't need to breathe much. The first thing that hit my senses was the sight of that mist she creates when using her quirk. That let me know she was close and to be on alert. The crack of her whip broke the branch I was on, so I ended up falling through the air.
Freezing time, for everything around me, I looked around until I could see where she was before reversing time to where the branch broke. This time I had sufficient time to not only avoid falling but move towards her. With a false move I managed to get the cuff around her wrist and attached to one of the branches. "I win." I held up two fingers to show my victory sign before they called it on the loudspeakers. With the end of our exams at hand, it was time to move on and see what awaited us next.
