The Test

The test started quickly, you could hear explosions going off left and right. AS Todoroki and I walked we could feel tremors shaking the ground below us. "Tremors? An earthquake? No, probably someone's Quirk." I nodded my agreement.

Taking the time to keep my wits about me. "Yeah, I know. It was a vibration related quirk, something I would say would be similar to Earphone Jack's quirk when she uses her speakers. Only, they use the vibrations not the sound." Seconds later someone took out 120 people. Even I was a little surprised by that.

Before we knew it, 30 people had already passed the test. "The other guys are moving around in groups of ten or more. We could attack first, but it would be annoying if there are people with Quirks I'm weak against. Ideally, the other teams would fight each other and bring each other's numbers down before we launch our attack, but..."

Todoroki spoke in a hushed whisper as we hid behind one of the metal pillars. He stopped talking when we heard talking again. 53 people passed now, so we were running low on time. 230 people failed out of the 1500 plus students. That left a little under 1200 people left give or take. With only 100 people getting through, we did only have a few spaces left.

So, I turned to Todoroki. "Looks like we can't afford to wait anymore. Let's go." He nodded and we ran off looking for someone to take out. Hearing something rushing towards us Todoroki turned before I could stop time and made the ball fall short.

I turned to see what was going on as well. "That was pretty good." There were people in several different colored ninja suits behind us. "As expected of the runner-up of the UA sports festival. Though, I don't think I've ever seen her before. What's your name and power, cutie." I gagged, and grimaced. "I can't believe you two are acting along, though. That's amazing. You must be confident."

That was the guy in the red suit. A larger guy in a green suit spoke next. "But even if they are from UA, acting alone'll get them in trouble, don't you think?" Two to ten... so five people each, but we likely wouldn't be lucky enough to split like that.

Todoroki didn't even flinch. "Thanks. For saving me the trouble of finding you." The guy in red just laughed at us. Balls were thrown. Todoroki made a shield of ice to cover himself, I just dodged the balls casually without use of my quirk. Before they knew it they were frozen in place. "You guys... Are you sure you watched the sports festival?"

The one in red said he had, throwing something in our direction. It grew to a rather large size. Todoroki stopped it with his ice, so I decided to watch his back. If there was anything he didn't have time to dodge or block, I would take over. Seeing more objects getting thrown in our direction I just stood casually watching it. The ice was cracking, soon enough we were going to have to make a move. Seeing a final bolt come for Todoroki as he tried to stop it, I froze time and walked over to him.

Grabbing him I dragged him back a few inches, just enough to avoid getting hit, before lowering his arm so that it was still aimed at the bolt. Then I moved back to my previous position and stated time again. Todoroki was about to dodge, when he noted that he hadn't needed to move. I just gave him a thumbs up.

Turning to the man in red, I noted him freeing his team mates. "Tungsten... nice metal. Capable of withstanding high temperatures and therefore perfect for a fire user's quirk. You thought a lot about it, so I'll give you a little credit. Not that it will matter in the end, because as long as I stand here, you won't land a hit on him."

The man just shrugged. "Didn't I tell you two? Even if you are UA students... you're acting alone... that shows you're overconfident." We only had six balls, and we were facing ten opponents. We needed to come up with a way to take out all ten, without getting hit ourselves. Do it!"
