With an end to September and October bringing in the cool air, it was becoming increasingly obvious that summer had come to a close. I started visiting Eri every weekend and we talked a lot. I noticed that emotionally, she was like me... unstable. It wasn't something I knew how to fix, but I would be a better sister to her than what Shigaraki was to me when I had thought of him as my brother.

I could never betray her like that. "It's not that elegant of a question, but calculate the definite integral. If you know the answer, raise your hand." I looked at the question Ectoplasm had on the board before raising my hand. "(Y/n)?" The answer was 107/28. "Correct. Now, onto the next page." Midoriya was clearly struggling, maybe I would help him study later?

When lunch came around I was about to leave the class only for sparkly boy to make me pause in sheer horror. He put cheese in Midoriya's mouth. He was a really strange kid... A really strange kid. Something about him just never sat right with me, and I just couldn't place what it was. Perhaps he was like that kid from the testing area? Maybe that was it.

Even Midoriya seemed on edge around him, breaking out into a cold sweat as soon as he came to class. So when gym class came around, I could only observe as per usual. "Now, let's work on improving your ultimate moves today, too! If you haven't completed the assignment to have at least two, work on that. If you already have two, then continue developing them. (Y/n)... we will be working on all three of yours. Got it?" I nodded, and he let me team with Todoroki.

For a few, we just stared at one another. Then he looked around before looking back at me. "So, which move are you going to use?" I took a breath and explained the three moves I had been working on. Switch, freeze area, and fastforward. He seemed to grasp onto the concept and we started our fight. I used freeze area and walked closer to him.

It was hard to focus on, and honestly... it made my arms ache. I had to stop after just five seconds, and dropped to my knees. My breathing came out heavily as my nails dug into the bandages and cloth over my arms. Todoroki was about to use his flame quirk but stopped the second he saw me drop.

The scales on my arms felt funny... and they hurt. "(L/n)... are you feeling alright?" I shook my head before falling to my side. It seriously felt like my scales were about to be ripped from my skin. He quietly rushed to my side, taking one of my arms to examine. He pulled my sleeves up and we both paused when we saw the red coating the bandages. "What... is going on?"

The next thing I knew, I was in Recovery Girl's office, my bandages were being changed out and I could only blink a few times. "How... did I get here?" Recovery Girl paused in her wrapping and looked up at me.

Her brow knitted together for a second before she continued.

It took a second for her to speak. "You walked in here with Todoroki from gym class. Your... quirk seems to have a type of backlash when used like you were trying to do something new with it. And apparently memory loss of about two hours from the time of its use to now is the coincidence of about just five seconds of use."

I felt my body stiffen. That would explain why I hardly remember much about the fight I had with Shigaraki. "Oh, I see. I'll have to be more careful from now on then. Sorry to have disturbed you, Recovery Girl." Once she was finished with the fresh bandages I was permitted to go back to class. I had to ask Todoroki what happened in the two hours I didn't remember. "Todoroki... have you got a minute?"

Thankfully classes were over when I made it over to him. "Yeah, what's up? You're not glowing golden anymore, that's good." I froze on the spot. He seemed to notice my sudden shock. "You alright? Did something happen?"

I lowered my head. "Was... was anyone hurt? I didn't hurt anyone this time right... I didn't rewind them into oblivion right?" My entire body was shaking, even when he placed his hands on my shoulders.
