ADA'S POV
"What the hell?! Y-you cut his LVAD wire?" Dr. Bailey asked but I kept looking straight. "Why are you doing this?"
"H-he needs the heart, he really is and he's been waiting for a year and his daughter is hoping for him."
"But you don't have to cut these wires."
"I have to." Dr. Bailey looked at her pager. "What? Somebody needs you?" I asked and she nodded. "Go but don't tell anyone." While waiting for Preston, I was surprised when Dr. Bailey showed up again. "Why are you here again? You said, you got paged?"
"I am and I need you to know something."
My knees are trembling. "W-what is it? Is it something bad?"
"About Kieran's heart."
Kumunot ang noo ko. "What? Preston is coming and he has Kieran's heart and they'll proceed to the surgery once he saw Kieran. So, what's the deal?"
"Dr. Preston Burke is not coming, Dr. Ada."
"What?! Why? What happened to him?"
"He got shot on his right arms, it's numb and he can't move so, automatically, he won't proceed to the surgery." She exclaimed, the nurse handled the oxygen that is supporting Kieran. "He's on the other room, second room from the right corner. I think, he wanna see you." She closed the door while I'm thinking out of nowhere.

"H-hey." I approached her shyly and he smiled. "I heard you got shot."
"Yeah, I can't feel my hands anymore." He tried moving it but there's no any movements from his hands. "How's Kieran? Is he stable?"
"When did you care about him?"
He chuckles. "I think, right now, kidding. He's your love of your life so, I should be worried because I'm going to be your best man on your wedding." I sighed heavily. "Why? You don't want him? Why? He's your first love and they say, whoever your first love is, he/she will be your true love."
"Stop whining over Kieran, he's stable and mind yourself instead. You got shot."
"Dr. Bianca will take over the surgery and Kieran will have his new heart." My eyes widened, I'm happy but I'm kinda frustrated. "Congrats in advance to the both of you."
"Pres... I need you to tell something." His eyebrows raised. "I-I did something wrong."
"I know, I won't judge you anyway and I'll keep my mouth shut for your happily ever after moment." He looked away, still managing to hang on to his hand. "I'm out of this program, I'm moving out."
"Why? What's the reason?"
"You, you are the reason, Ada. I stayed in here because of you, I worked hard in here because of you and I did everything exquisite just for you to notice me but you didn't. I think, it's time to stay out and dealt with my own private life as a surgeon if I could go back then." I bowed my head, trying not to cry. "I already gave you a million time to notice me every minute you had, I think you've chosen someone now, I'm not against it actually. Anyway, Dr. Shepherd told me he'll perform the surgery tonight so I can have a rest tomorrow and the next day I'll get discharge right away."
"Preston..."
"You're brilliant, go on and watched the surgery for me. Thank you and good bye."
I closed his room's door, heading to the O.R number five, watched the whole heart transplant surgery and saw how the weak heart became a healthy and strong heart again and finally, the surgery went well and Kieran will live that long again, oh my gosh.

Good evening! Ang bilis ng oras para kagabi inoperahan si Kieran and Preston is still resting on his room. Currently, I'm wearing a bridal dress yet I'm still undecided about Kieran's proposal tonight; I'm heading at the elevator, I saw both of them, waiting, pumunta ako sa room ni Kieran, I saw Gulliver.
"Pick him, love him, choose him, Ada, please." Gulliver whispered on my ears.
"You look good on that." Kieran stated. "I'm... I feel great."
"Kieran... I-I, I'm not sure about this like for real. I didn't plan and have time to think about it."
"Okay, I know and I get it." He smiled but I felt sorry. "I'm the main character but he's the chosen one, thank you for the hear-----"
"He's seizing! Code Blue!" I coded them, the nurses helped me and started doing CPR. "Any signs?"
"There's no signs, no vitals and no... Dr. Ada."
"He's crashing, dang it!" I shouted as I pushed the nurse so I did the CPR procedure. "Dang it! You wanted the heart so, take it! Take care of it, wake up, Kie! Wake up!"
"He's flatline." The nurse stated. "Dr. Ada."
"No, no, no, he's not crashing, he's not!" I stopped the CPR, hugging him and crying over his body. "Time of death 11:11 PM." I sobs silently. "You wanted it then should take it, Kieran! You've waited a year for that and... Dang it!" Gulliver hold my hand, inilayo na niya ako kay Kieran para maipadala na siya sa morgue.
"Tita Ada..." Gulliver stated. "He already knew."
"Gull, I'm really really sorry." I hugged her and sobs. "I'm sorry."
"He just waited you to come over so he can see you, wearing the bridal white dress and he crashed."
"Why did he does that?"
"He told me that if don't want to be with him, it's alright and it would be better if he can see you wearing your dress so he can imagine you as his bride." I bowed my head. "He just wanted you to say all those things in front of him so there would be no chaos anymore." I sighed heavily, I can't breathe properly, dang it. "And when he saw you, he gave me a sign that his seizure are coming and he'll end his life, seeing you as his the best and gorgeous bride."
"Dang it, dang!"
"Be with me someone, tita. Be with someone who can assure and you assure to be your lawfully husband." I hugged her. "I support you." I cupped her face and smiled. "I've forgiven you even the roughest time I cannot hold on and I don't have anyone, I have no one."
"Gull..."
"You're my person, tita Adallina Agacci." She smiled.

I knocked on Preston's room, opened it and he was surprised when he saw me wearing the bridal dress. "What's your freaking idea, Ada? Seriously? Knocking on my door with that dress?"
"Pres."
"Mhm-hmm." His eyebrows raised, I walked towards his direction. "I got into surgery so be careful."
We all chuckles. "I will and forever will." Kumunot na ang noo niya kaya lalo lang akong nine-nerbyos. "I picked you, I chose you and I want myself to love you the way you love me. That's the choices I've made for your life test."
He cried, trying to stand up and give me a warm hug. "Damn it, I already chose, picked and love you from the very first place, Ada." He stared at me, fixing my hair, giving me soft kisses. "I'm sorry about your Dad, Gull."
"It's alright, Dr. Burke." Gull answered, he walked to her direction and gave him a kiss on her forehead. "What was that?"
"Call me dad instead." He exclaimed and when chuckles.
