{Chapter 5}

Daisy had just got dressed for her date with Spencer. Melinda was in the basement doing her normal training as she does. Daisy went downstairs to see if she looked ok. When she got down there, her mother was harshly punching the bag left and right. She looked like she was mad, but she wasn't. "Hey!" Daisy called out making Melinda stop punching and panted as she looked at her daughter's outfit. Daisy held out a water bottle, which she grabbed for her before she went downstairs, which her mother smiled lightly and took it. "Looking good. What time should I expect you guys back?" Melinda asks and Daisy shrugged, "I don't know. We are going to a movie and maybe come back here to watch another one. Why?" Melinda raised her hands in surrender, "Just asking." She then went to place the bottle on the table next to her. Daisy looked at her mother with curiosity about something, "Hey, has something been bothering you? You've been training for the past couple of hours." Melinda sighed and walked over to her with a BAU file and Daisy looked at it skeptically before opening it. She gasped and looked at her mother with shock, "Undercover? How? The team wouldn't have let you gone because you're an assistant!" Melinda leaned against the table that had her water on it, "It was Strauss. Thought that I needed a trial on becoming a field agent, seeing as I am more capable as a field agent then an assistant." Daisy looked at her with curiosity and worry as she closed the file, "How long will you be gone?" Melinda shook her head, "I don't know. The estimate was 9 months or a whole year." Daisy started to cry as she wasn't going to see her mother in months or a year. She ran to her and hugged her tight, as she hugged back and ran her hands through her hair. "I don't want you to go. You're all I have." Daisy tells her and Melinda sighed, "I know but there was nothing I could do." Daisy pulled away and wiped her face from tears then remembered how Aaron could have a say seeing as he has a higher status. "What about, Mr. Suit?" Daisy asked and Melinda shook her head sighing. The doorbell rang making Melinda fix Daisy's hair and wipe the extra tears that were falling down her face. "You'll be fine. I will be here when you get back and I am picking up Kai when you guys leave." Melinda tells her with smile. Kai was their dog that Melinda got for Daisy when she was little. He was like a guard dog but was still a puppy at heart. He would growl at someone he thought was a threat or he didn't know, but then would play ball with you if you threw it. "Really?" Daisy asks excited for the dog and her mother nodded, "Yeah. Now, go have fun." Daisy walked to the door and opened it to see Spencer. He smiled at her nervously and gave her a flower, "That's for you." Daisy smiled and took it from him before smelling it. She looked at him with a brighter smile, "Thanks!" Spencer smiled and held his hand out to her to take. She took his hand and they both walked over to his car. It was a old car made in the 90s, but it was super cute. He opened the door for her as Melinda watched from the window with a smile, glad her daughter was with someone who will take care of her. Spencer was driving and then looked over at Daisy for a second. He saw that her eyes were slightly red and puffy. He grabbed her hand, making her come out of outer space, "What happened before I got there?" Daisy wasn't sure if she should tell him before everyone else is told tomorrow. He rubbed her thumb in circular motions as to tell her everything was ok. She smiled and then rested her head on the back of the seat, "May is given a trial by Strauss to go undercover for a mission." Spencer looked at her confused about what she told him. He hadn't heard anything about that mission from anyone. How come he wasn't told at all? "Strauss doesn't believe she would make a good assistant with all her skills on the file. As I heard, so she was going to give May this job that could be as long as 9 months to a year." Daisy explains to him as he looked at her in disbelief, "What? She just got here!" Daisy sighed, "I know. Let's just go so we aren't sad for the rest of the day." Spencer nodded and drove towards the movie theater. He parked and rushed to her door to open it. She giggled at his gentlemanly antics before getting out. They walked into the theater and began to look at the movie choices. They decided on Deadpool because why not? They bought popcorn for the two of them and then walked in and sat down. He looked at her with an excited smile which she returned and they watched the movie in enjoyment.
