{Chapter 20}

Melinda walked into the interrogation room and the guy immediately began flirting with her. "Hey, sweetheart! You came back! Hopefully to break me out of here, no?" Melinda sat down across from him saying not doing anything. She just looked at him as she pulled the files out. The man chuckled, "I'm sorry! I didn't introduce myself. I am Ryder Harrison." He held his hand out for her to shake, but she didn't. She didn't even do anything when he held his hand out.

Novice Agent

Aaron, Daisy, and Derek were outside the interrogation room watching in case something happens. Everyone was trying to find clues about the Unsub and try to find him or her. Daisy looked at the men next to her, "It's strange that he is just flirting with her." Derek scoffed, "Men like him have an attraction to women older than him. It would be difficult to change his mind about finding women the same age or younger attractive." Aaron looked at her with a serious yet angered expression, "You know your mother. Would she fall for his flirting?" Daisy shook her head making him continue, "Then I'm sure she will be fine." He looked at the man sitting in front of Melinda with anger for flirting with her. "Is your mom a good interrogator?" Derek asked as Aaron looked at Daisy with wonder of the answer. "Yeah." Daisy said. She watched her mother in an interrogation room, with a man who is attracted to her.

Novice Agent

"What do you want to talk about, Sweetheart?" Ryder asked gesturing for her to talk. Melinda didn't say anything but just opened the file showing the pictures of the victims. Ryder looked away and gagged before closing the file, "What was that?!" Melinda looked at him with wise eyes, "Those are people who died from rituals. However, they are different from the common ritual. From what my team has conducted, it is possible that this was caused by someone who has lost faith in god." Ryder put the pieces together, "And that's why you found me and my group!" Melinda nodded, making him lean back and sigh, "Honey, it wasn't me or my people. We do rituals, yes, but we don't kill people." She looked at him with curiosity, "Then what are the rituals for?" Ryder gestured to the pentagrams, "To welcome new believers of the Black Leaf. We give them a ceremony to honor their beliefs, then we go and party." Melinda looked at him with curiosity, "Is there anyone you can think of that could have done this?" Ryder leaned forward with a shrug, "No one that I know." Melinda was already getting tired of him before he smirked, "You want to know something?" She didn't answer so he continued, "I like women older than me. How old are you? 40? 34? I would be lucky to have a woman like you to bear my children! I don't think any man in this station, in this world, could treat you like the queen you are, like I can. Especially, the man with the suit who seems pissed off all the time." Melinda knew he was talking about Aaron and looked at him with an emotionless look, not giving him any hint of how she was feeling. "The moment you guys came to find me and I was flirting with you, he immediately started to get angry. Or jealous. He played it off well because no one, not even you, could've known what he was feeling." Melinda stood up from the table and headed for the door. "Hey! Are you going to let me out?!" Ryder yelled as she slammed the door shut. Daisy ran to her mother to hug her. Melinda placed a hand on her head as Derek and Aaron walked over. "You alright?" Daisy asked. Melinda grinned, "I'm fine. Just I'm not usually flirted with." Derek smirked, "Guess we'll have to fix that." Melinda looked at him confused, "What do you mean?" Derek walked away, with Daisy behind him, before she could ask any questions. Aaron looked at her with apologetic eyes, "I'm sorry you had to go in there and deal with him. I would've had Morgan or Rossi go in there if I could." Melinda placed a hand on his shoulder and grinned, "You're ok! I was the one he was attracted to and who he would talk and listen to. There was nothing you could've done." A officer walked Ryder out of the interrogation room who smirked at the woman, "How you doing, baby girl!" She felt a slight pain on her butt, making her glare at him. Aaron saw it and was mad as well as Ryder looked back at her. Ryder called back, "Maybe when you finish this case, we can go back to my place and watch a movie." Melinda rolled her eyes as Aaron came up with something to get the guy to stop looking. He stepped closer and closer to Melinda making her look up at him. She whispered, "What are you doing?" He whispered back, "Just trust me." She nodded lightly as he cupped her chin and leaned in. Their lips touched and the team watched with excitement and shock. Aaron removed his hand from her chin as he placed it on her waist, as she brought a hand to his cheek. Ryder saw this and finally let her go seeing as he thought she was taken. Melinda opened a eye and saw him gone and she pulled away, but stayed in Aaron's arms. "Why did you do that?" Melinda asked in shock at what he just did. Aaron chuckled nervously, "I thought it would get him to leave you alone. Also, something else." She looked at him with curiousness, "And what's this 'something else?'" He grabbed her hands and pulled her as close as he could with her limits. "I have feelings for you, Melinda. I didn't know I had them, until you got kidnapped and Coulson confronted me about them. I wanted to tell you in a romantic way but I could never find the time to do it. I guess, this is the time. I love you, Melinda." Melinda was in slight awe at his words when she remembered something and knew it could ruin everything, "I love you too, but you have Beth! I don't want to be a relationship breaker!" Melinda ran out of the station leaving him in the center of the station, with the team watching him as he realized that he did have Beth.

Novice Agent

Daisy was sat on the couch, with Spencer and Kai, watching TV. They finally had a day off so they wanted to spend some time together. Daisy had her head on his lap and her feet laid next to Kai. Spencer had his hand running through her hair as she told him that she liked it not too long ago. Daisy looked up at Spencer, who was already looking down at her. "What?" Spencer shook his head, "Nothing." He looked back up at the TV, only for her straddle his lap so she covers the TV. "What is it?" Daisy asked with persistence. Spencer gave up, "I love you." Daisy relaxed and smiled at the words, "I love you, too." Spencer leaned in and they kissed, initiating a gentle kiss, which turned into a make out session. Daisy's hands were on his shoulders, while his were on her sides. Spencer then brought a hand to her cheek as they continued for a long time. Daisy started to mess with his shirt, letting him know that she wants it off. He began to unbutton his shirt without interrupting their movements. He wrapped his other hand, that was on her side, to go around her waist as he moved forward to take the shirt off. When he had to take the other side off, Daisy was the one to take it off for him. She threw it next to them on the couch, before stopping the kiss to take hers off. Spencer realized that he had never really looked at her body. She was skinny but not too skinny, with muscle, from all the training her and her mom did. Daisy initiated the kiss to start again, but they were soon interrupted by the door opening to reveal Melinda with groceries. She looked at the couple on the couch with surprise. She didn't say anything and walked into the kitchen to put the food and materials away. Daisy bit her lip making Spencer take his thumb and pull it out of her mouth. "Don't worry! I don't think she cared!" Spencer told her in assurance. Daisy nodded, grabbing her shirt and pulled it over her head, while Spencer buttoned up his. "I had fun with you today but I think it's time I head home. We have work tomorrow morning." Spencer got up from the couch after Daisy got off his lap and gave her a kiss. He then headed for the door only for Melinda to look in his direction. "Reid! Why don't you stay for dinner? Did you guys eat?" Spencer smiled at the invitation to have dinner with them and nodded his head to stay. "No. We didn't want to go get something that was going to be too expensive." Melinda nodded in understanding as they were right. Going out to eat these days was expensive as can be. Melinda began cooking as the couple sat at the dining table to talk to her. "Mom, how are you doing? About yesterday?" Daisy asked with concern. Melinda looked at her before placing the stove on low heat and walked over. "I didn't expect him to kiss me, especially in front of the whole station. Not only that, express feelings that he should be feeling for Beth." "I never met Beth but she doesn't seem like a good person." Daisy tells her mom. Melinda looked at her confused, "What do you mean?" Daisy sighed, "I don't know, but she seems off." Spencer nodded, "She seemed nice to you, Agent May, but I could tell she didn't really want to be nice to you." Melinda didn't think about it until now before shrugging, "Well, whenever she wants to talk or do something, I'm ready." Daisy looked at her with worry, "What about Mr. Suit man?" Melinda looked confused, "What about him?" Daisy sighed, "I don't know but he might get mad that you and Beth fight or something." Melinda shrugged before turning back to the food. Daisy and Spencer looked at each other with worry as he grabbed her hand.

Novice Agent

Beth stormed into the bullpen with a furious look on her face. She was looking for a specific someone when she walked out of JJ's office and down the ramp with Daisy. Derek, Emily, and Spencer saw Beth with her expression and knew something was going to happen. When Melinda and Daisy got close enough, Beth launched at Melinda. Daisy gasped as Spencer was quick to move her out of the way so she wasn't hit or kicked. Melinda was surprised at what was going on and didn't know what to do, so she let Beth hit her and kick her. Everyone on the team came out to see and maybe help with the situation. "You are the reason that Aaron doesn't want to be with me! He told me about the kiss and how he told you how he felt for you! He's mine!" Melinda finally started to fight back as she was tired of her bullshit. She rolled out from under Beth, making her fall a bit, as she stood up and held her normal poker face and defense pose. Beth got up and got in a defensive pose too. Aaron walked hastily down the stairs from his office to try and stop this. "Stop!" Beth scoffed at him, "Why? Too scared I'll hurt your precious girl?" Melinda looked at Aaron as he looked at her. Beth scoffed again, "See? You guys are perfect for one another and, yet, I still want him." Aaron gave Melinda a light smile making her look away. Daisy ran to her mom to make sure she was ok. Beth seen her, "Is that your kid?" Melinda nodded, "She's mine." Daisy wrapped her arms around her mother's waist, making Beth point between Melinda and Aaron. "Both of yours?" Melinda immediately shook her head as Aaron replied, "No. Daisy isn't my daughter, however, I like to treat her as my daughter." Melinda smiled to herself as she began to think about something. She didn't realize she had feelings for him, until the day he helped her off the plane after what Ward did to her. Aaron was different than Andrew and she was going to have to learn that. Also, Melinda was glad that he and Daisy get along. Aaron looked to Beth with a serious look on his face, "I think it's just automatic about us, don't you think?" Beth nodded in disappointment but then she left.
