{Chapter 4}
Daisy was given everything she needed before walking into the club that they found and connected to the three victims. She looked around at the drunk, sober, people who couldn't dance until they were drunk, the ones who just couldn't dance at all, and just the rest of the people as she was trying to find the unsub. Daisy walked over to the bar to blend in and then ordered a drink. Her comm beeped meaning that someone was talking to her. "Johnson, Morgan and Reid are in the building now. Try to see if you can find the unsub." Aaron commands and Daisy internally nodded before looking at her drink. She felt someone sit next to her and looked at who it was, it was him, she could tell. "What's a beautiful lady, like yourself, sitting alone at a bar?" He asked as he smirked at her. Daisy internally prepped herself for her good acting skills. She looked down sad with a fake sigh, "My boyfriend, well, now ex, just broke up with me. Five years down the drain." He smiled placing a hand on her shoulder, which made her want to fling him away from her, but she had to keep up with the acting. She fake smiled at the comfort and then looked at him seductively, "How about we head towards the back? I mean, you're very..handsome and I just need a man to protect me. Also, I don't like PDA." He smirked and held his hand out to her, which she smiled and followed him towards the back. She turned towards him and prepared herself to vomit once this was all over and then kissed him.
Novice Agent
The team were waiting for the cue to come to Daisy to get the unsub, but she took it a different route by seducing him. David was nervous because he knew that Melinda wasn't going to follow orders and arrive out of nowhere. It was like he was a psychic, because as soon as he was thinking this, she arrived, on a motorcycle. Everyone in the front of the club looked at her with shock, or for Aaron's and JJ's, anger. She got off the bike and walked over to them. "What the hell are you doing here? You were supposed to stay at the station!" JJ scolds her but Melinda wasn't listening to any of them as she was watching what was going on the screen. She realized that they couldn't see what was going on and began to take matters into her own hands. She pushed Derek out of the seat, making him look at her with anger before softening, and began to work on moving the cameras. "What are you doing?" Emily asked but there was still no response as Melinda hacked into the security camera's and directed them to look at Daisy and the Unsub. They were all shocked as they didn't know she could hack, too. David thought it may have ran in their blood, seeing as Daisy is good with them, too. "Go!" Aaron demanded the officers before turning to Melinda, "Meet me in my office when we get back!" Melinda didn't look at anyone before walking away and back to the motorcycle. She hopped on and went to go before she heard a voice yell to her, "May!" Daisy walked around the corner to see her mother on a motorcycle waiting for her. She smiled and ran to her the best she could especially in a dress. She hugged her mother then looked at her confused, "What are you doing here? You were supposed to be at the station!" Melinda looked at her with desperation, "I couldn't just sit there while this happened, here." Melinda passed her a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a bottle of water. Daisy looked at her mother surprised that she did all that but thanked her for it. "I'm in trouble. If I lose my job, stay working here, alright?" Melinda asks and Daisy nodded at her as she spat the water out after she rinsed. She then came up with an idea that was kind of important to her, "We should speak to each other in Chinese whenever we can't say stuff out loud in front of the team!" Melinda looked at her confused, "Why?" Daisy smiled a bright smile as she explained the idea, "It'll be so cool! Also, we can talk about the team all the time!" Melinda thought about it as she was kind of thinking the same thing. She sighed and nodded making Daisy smile at the ideas in her head. She then stopped when someone was coming over."Bù hǎole! Huò qí láile!" Daisy whispers then ran off, leaving her mother alone still on the motorcycle. Aaron looked at Melinda with a stern look making herself prepare for what's to come, "Why did you disobey your orders? If JJ tells you to do something, you do it. You could have jeopardized everything for us, for Daisy." Melinda looked at him with a serious expression, "Are you a father?" Her asking him that made him frown at her confused at why she asked that when he is in the middle of a lecture. He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow, "I'm sorry?" Melinda asked him again, "Are you a father?" Aaron nodded, "Yes. What does this have to do with anything?" She nodded back before looking at him curiously. She was curious to hear his reaction by the time she finished these questions, "Would you do anything for him?" She was making his stern expression soften when he realized what was going on. She was a mother, but he just thinks that she is just a mother figure to Daisy. "I would. He means everything to me. I wouldn't trade him for anything. I would run to him before anyone else." Aaron tells her nodding his head making her mutter, "Then you know why I did, what I did." He finally put the pieces together about her and Daisy. She started the bike before he could say anything and rode off, leaving him to think about what he needs to talk to her about when they get on the plane. He sighed before helping everyone pack up to go home.
Novice Agent
Everyone was on the plane in their own spaces. Daisy sat down in front of Spencer as he was looking at his book. He looked up at her and smiled which she reciprocated. "Hey! Sorry to disturb your reading I just wanted to talk." Daisy tells him making him close his book and put it on the table as of saying 'what book?' She giggled and folded her hands together, "I was wondering if you wanted to go see a movie tomorrow. You can pick if it helps." "I would love to. It's a date." Spencer tells her, she blushed, making him ramble, "It-It doesn't have to be one of you don't want it to be because if so it can be j-just a friendly gathering." Daisy grabbed his hand making him stop and smile, embarrassed of himself. She giggled at his rambling before clarifying it for him, "I don't mind it being a date. I'll meet you at the cinema at 7." He smiled as he excited to go out with her, "Can't wait!" She smiled and got up and walked over to the girls, minus her mom. They were squealing at what was going on as Aaron walked over to Melinda, who was looking at a picture of her and Daisy. Daisy was three years old and they went to a park close by where a woman took their picture. Aaron sat down next to her and she handed him the picture without saying anything. He hesitantly took it and looked at it as she began to explain, "That was me and Daisy when she was three. We went to a park and I asked a woman to take our picture together and that was the result." Hearing what she told him made his eyes widened. Daisy was her daughter, how come he didn't realize that? "We haven't been completely honest with the team. We are from SHIELD. Strauss is the first one to know." Melinda tells him making Aaron look at her curiously, "What do you mean the first one?" She sighed and explained, "Rossi found out after you told Daisy she was going undercover." He then put the pieces together, "You were worried about her because she was going on her first undercover mission with us." She nodded letting him know he was right as he looked at her and saw that she was looking off. He put a finger under her chin and turned her head in his direction. She blushed lightly at what he just did before looking down at the look he gave her. "Why didn't you tell us?" Aaron asks making Melinda swallow harshly and began to rub her arm. He waited for a response from her as he was confused. Did they not trust them? Did she not trust him? "We didn't want it to seem that you had to choose us to work for you because of who we are and where we are from. We also didn't know how everyone would react at us being mother and daughter and working in the same team. I put Daisy's last name as Johnson as it was my great uncle's last name." Melinda explains to him as he took all that in and realized why she did it. She looked at him with a ready to argue look, "Please. Don't fire us, at least let Daisy keep her job. I will go back to SHIELD if that will make the situation better." Aaron chuckled making her confused. Why is he laughing? Is he laughing at her? He placed a hand on her arm to stop her, "You guys won't be fired, neither of you. However, I do have one question. Why be an assistant when you could be a field agent?" Melinda looked away as she thought of the most hated memory of her life. The one that made her divorce her husband, now ex-husband, even though he basically left when she was pregnant. The plane was landing and it cut off the conversation due to Melinda's joy. Melinda rushed off the plane with Daisy behind her to figure out what happened. "What happened?" Daisy asks as she grabs her bags as her mother began to rant, "I was showing him that picture of us at the park when you were three and he put the pieces together. I explained to him that we were from SHIELD then how we planned it for our jobs. He was curious about how I am an assistant and not a field agent with you. It made me think of Bahrain again and how your father left us." Daisy placed her hands on her mother's shoulders to calm her down. She could tell her mother was about to have a panic attack, thinking about what she did in Bahrain and from how her father left right before she was born. "Calm down! I will talk to Hotch about everything. You can go to the car." Daisy tells her and Melinda's eye's widened when she saw her walking away. She shook her head and went to grab her arm to drag her back but missed. She sighed, as she was too tired for all this, and walked to the car as Daisy walked over to Aaron. "Hey!" Daisy greets and Aaron turned to her as he bent down to grab his bag. He gave her a light smile as she crossed her arms, "I guess you know now. Are you sure you aren't mad at us, now that you are away from my mom?" He frowned confused on what she meant by that and she must've noticed and sighed, "Look, I have seen what you did for my mom for the past few days and I appreciate it. No one has been able to get her to relax when she is angry. Usually, she would punch people when she was mad." Aaron placed his bag down and looked at the young girl. He could tell that she cared for her mother dearly. The whole time on this case they have been right by each other's side. "In case, you haven't seen, i'm kind of the same way as her. I don't know what either of you have gone through but if any of you need to talk to someone, i'm here." Aaron tells her and Daisy did something he didn't expect and hugged him, making him slowly return it. The team, who were all in the cars, were watching as they talked, but couldn't hear and when they watched her hug him they smiled, especially Melinda. She pulled away from him and smiled at him, "See you tomorrow, Mr. Suit!" Aaron chuckled to himself before getting into his car. Everyone got into their cars, happy, and went home.
