After the detective dropped me off at home, I received a call from Sihle, saying he wanted to meet.

This was the last thing l expected after everything he did to me.

I get it, I used him to hide from my feelings for Clay, I never really loved him.

But he deceived me and pretended to love me while it was Karabelo he really loved.

He was trading information, giving her everything she needed to know about my life, he helped her to take over my life.

If he hadn't taken her to campus that day, Helen would still be alive.

He stayed in prison for months just to protect her secret, and now he was out.

Only God knows what he was up to, he was probably still meeting up with her, and now he wanted to see me.

A part of me wanted to call Clay and Abigail to let them know about this call but thought against it.

Honestly, things were not going well between Clay and I, and this would the end of us.

On the other hand, I was ignoring Abigail. I bet she was dying to know what her husband wanted to talk about.

I would go and see her tomorrow after meeting Sihle.

That night, there wasn't much to do, I continued searching around the house hoping I'd find something, but my mother was pretty much very well-connected, and she knew how to hide her secrets.

I'd discovered a safe in her bedroom, but it had a code.

I wanted to rest, but after so many weeks of peaceful sleep, I was welcomed into yet another world of strange dreams.

And the one thing that froze my entire system, was how real it felt.

"No! Please no, not my daughters, no!" A faint cry that could barely be heard from an open room escaped from the woman's mouth.

"I've been very patient with you, but you left me with no other choice but to get rid of you," A woman with blonde hair whispered.

"What about my babies? Who is going to take care of them?" The woman lying on the hospital bed asked with tears streaming down her face.

Her face was as white as paper, her lips dry, and her silver hair giving her an aging portrait. The other woman laughed dryly, taking out a needle and a small bottle from her medical coat.

"Don't worry," She said drawing out a portion of the remedy from the bottle. "Your babies will be taken care of." She hovered over the pale, sorrowful woman while caressing her hair. "I will make sure of it," She whispered before she injected the substance into the drip.

The poison fused with the blood, slowly turning black.

The woman lying on the bed stared at the black blood running through the drips into her system with teary eyes.

"Just look at that, imagine what it will do to you once it gets into your bloodstream," The blonde woman stated maniacally.

Beep.

Beep.

Beep.

The life support started to beep as the woman's breath hissed and her body rose as she started to convulse. "My babies." She choked.

The blonde woman walked out of the room without sparing a glance at the dying woman. Nurses and doctors rushed into the room and the losing battle began.

"Hey there, little ones," The woman said to the new-born babies in her backseat. "Let's go to your new home to meet your daddy," she said excitedly while clutching the steering wheel.

She started the car and reversed from the parking lot, and then she stared back at the hospital entrance and smiled proudly, "Goodbye, Rorisang."

I woke up to be greeted by my mother sitting on my bed with a creepy smile.

"Hi, Lesego."
