jihoon's eyes seem to plead with soonyoung's. "don't. please."

so soonyoung complies. he leaves jihoon cold. "get under the covers, i don't want you freezing."

"was i that mean to you?"

jihoon gives no answer, shifting uncomfortably under the blankets. he'd never think soonyoung was bad to him. but these... bruises did nothing to console his thoughts. his fingers lightly circled the marks around his legs, his arms, his wrists.

"you won't answer me, huh? i must've."

soonyoung kept all their playthings before sliding under warm sheets. he held jihoon's cold fingers, slowly warming them up. he looked into his baby's trembling eyes, wondering if this was genuine or not. so he gave a soft smile, hoping it was reassuring.

jihoon smiled back, tension melting from his face.

"i'm sorry," soonyoung mumbled, pulling jihoon close to cradle him. "you're so fragile and i should've treated you as such. i'm sorry, baby."

jihoon keened and snuggled himself closer to soonyoung, barely even leaving a gap. he took a deep breath, "i fucking love you, soonie."

soonyoung returned the sentiment with a pat to his head and a kiss to seal their promises.
