A/N: This chapter contains mild violence.

Artwork is called Frozen: But I Didn't by Quincy-Sue on Deviant Art. I thought it was funny and it's mildly relevant to this chapter so I decided to add it in.

Elsa's POV

I woke up feeling really good and decided to go with one of my favorite outfits: a light blue T-shirt with a big snowflake on it and white jeans with light pink sneakers. Maybe it was my last name, but I really loved all things winter-related. I decided to leave my hair out today but slipped a hairband into my pocket in case I needed it. Then I went downstairs and ate breakfast, and Anna and I drove to school.

I'd brought my backpack with a few things from home that I wanted to put back in my locker, so I headed there first before going to find any of my friends. As I turned the corner into the hall, I saw Jack standing a few feet away from my locker talking to Silvermist.

He was clearly flirting with her. He was leaning against the wall and fixing her with a cute smirk and a gaze from those heartstopping blue eyes of his. She laughed at something he said and playfully nudged him. He acted as if he had been mortally wounded, and then they both laughed.

I gripped the straps of my backpack so hard I could feel my fingers go numb. Jack wasn't my boyfriend, I had no right to say who he could and couldn't flirt with, so why was I getting so upset?

Because you like him, the treacherous voice in my head whispered.

Silvermist saw me and smiled brightly. "Oh hey Elsa! I didn't see you there."

Jack looked up immediately, and our eyes met. Something flashed on his face – guilt?

I plastered on a fake smile. "Hey! Sorry if I'm interrupting anything, I just need to get to my locker." He knows my locker is in this hall, did he do that on purpose?

"No, of course not. In fact, I need to get moving. It was nice to meet you, Jack! I'll talk to you guys later."

I walked past Jack to my locker. We locked eyes again, but he quickly looked away. Neither of us said anything as I put my things away, and when I looked up again, he was gone.

Rapunzel's POV

"Have any of you seen Elsa today?" I asked as I sat down with the rest of our friends in the cafeteria. None of the DreamWorks kids had gotten there yet.

"Not since we got here," Anna said, frowning. "Why?"

"I haven't seen her at all this morning."

"I haven't either," Merida said. "I was starting to wonder if maybe she didn't come today."

"No, she's here," Anna said. "Unless she left early. I definitely saw her walk in, we came in together."

"Huh, weird," Eugene said. "I hope she's okay."

I stood up. "I'm going to go find her. You guys don't have to wait."

I walked out of the cafeteria. I was a little worried; maybe Hans had talked to her again, or maybe she'd gotten sick, or maybe something happened at home and she had to leave. I had a tendency to overthink these kinds of things.

I decided to start with the second floor of the library. That was usually where she went when she was upset or wanted to be alone.

Sure enough, once I went up the stairs I saw her curled up in her favorite chair with a book I knew she'd read a hundred times already. I walked over to her. "Hey, are you okay?"

She looked up at me and then went back to the book. "I don't know. I guess."

I decided not to press it. She'd tell me if she wanted to, and if she didn't, asking questions just made her retreat further into herself. "Do you want to come down to lunch? We're all down in the cafeteria."

"Who's 'we'?"

"Me, Merida, Anna, Eugene, and Kristoff," I listed. "The DreamWorks kids aren't there yet, so we don't know if they're coming, but we're expecting them to."

Elsa sighed. "Alright, I'll go."

Elsa's POV

I didn't want to see Jack again, but I also didn't want him to think I was affected by what he'd done. And again, it's not like he'd done anything wrong. I was just jealous. Besides, he might not even be there, and I was getting hungry.

"I need to go to the bathroom first," I said to Rapunzel. "You can go ahead. I'll be right there."

"Okay..." She gave me a bit of a worried look but walked in anyway.

After making sure no one else was in the bathroom, I stood in front of the mirror and placed my hands on either side of the sink. "Okay, listen up," I said, staring at my reflection. "If he's there, you're going to act like nothing's wrong. Everything is fine. Put on a smile and be the happy fun prom queen everyone knows and loves."

Satisfied with my pep talk, I walked out of the bathroom and entered the cafeteria. As I made my way to where my friends were sitting, I saw Hans and his friend Gaston watching me. Hans was wearing a simple white T-shirt and black skinny jeans. He actually looked pretty good. If only he were as pretty on the inside as he was on the outside.

He walked over and stepped in front of me. "Hey, snow queen."

I gritted my teeth. "What do you want?"

"I didn't see you at the track meet yesterday."

"Yeah, well, I didn't go."

"That's a shame. I won third place. I would've let you wear my medal."

I laughed. "No thanks, I'd rather not."

He looked at something above my head and smirked. "Well, it's not like you have the option to now."

"Elsa watch out!" I heard Anna yell.

Just as I started to turn around, I felt about five gallons of cold liquid get dumped on me. I saw Gaston drop a big plastic bin on the floor and start laughing. Hans was laughing too.

I picked at my wet shirt and pulled it away from my body. The liquid was sticky and purple and smelled sweet. Grape juice.

Anna's POV

It was like time went in slow motion. Elsa started to pivot around just as Gaston raised up a tub and poured purple liquid all over her. The entire cafeteria went silent. Everyone was staring at them.

Gaston and Hans started to laugh and high-fived each other. Elsa just stood there, pulling her shirt away so it wouldn't cling to her body. We all sat frozen in our seats.

Just then I noticed that the DreamWorks kids had come through the door and were also staring at them. All of them looked shocked, except for Jack. Jack looked pissed.

"Oh, hey, look who's here!" Hans had noticed them too. He spread his arms. "Enjoy the show?"

Jack strode over to where they were standing. He just stood there for a second, staring at Hans. Then he decked him across the face.

Hans staggered backwards. Before anyone else could react, Jack threw his arm around Elsa and guided her out of the cafeteria.
