Jack's POV

"I'm sorry your family wasn't free to drive you today," Elsa said as she drove away from my house.

I shrugged. "It's alright. Besides, I've been spending practically every waking moment of the last week with them. I'm perfectly happy to spend my last few hours with you."

She glanced at me with a smile before returning her gaze to the road.

"So, what do you have planned for today?"

She smirked. "It's a surprise."

"Oh no. Should I be scared?"

"Sure, why not."

"Oh dear." I gazed out the window as she drove out of Burgess and into Pixie Hollow. A little while later, she pulled into the parking lot of the diner we'd gotten lunch at to celebrate my college acceptance.

"Well well well," I said as Elsa turned off the ignition.

She flashed me a smile before getting out of the car. "C'mon, race you to the door!"

"Big mistake, Winters!" I yelled as I shot ahead of her.

I reached the door first. "Ha, I win!" I boasted as I swung it open for her.

She gave me a smug smile as she sauntered in. "You fell right into my trap, Frost. I only did that so you'd hold the door for me."

"Why, you little minx," I replied, following her in.

We were seated, and we ordered the same thing we had the first time, complete with a plate of fries for the table.

"So..." I began, taking a sip of my cherry cola.

Elsa's eyes twinkled. "Let's play twenty questions."

I snorted. "Are you serious?"

"Come on," she said with a smirk. "I wanna get to know you better."

"But we already know everything about each other," I whined.

"Yeah? What's my middle name?"

I opened my mouth to reply and then realized I didn't know. "Well, that's embarrassing."

She just raised her eyebrows at me as she sipped her milkshake.

"Okay, fine. Let's play. I'll go first. What's your middle name?"

"Reina."

"Really?" I sat back. "Elsa Reina Winters. That's pretty. It's funny, too – did you know reina means 'queen' in Latin?"

She nodded. "Yep. My turn. What are you most excited for when you get to college?"

"ALL THE PARTIES!" I exclaimed, then chuckled as she gave me a disbelieving look. "No, honestly, I'm looking forward to seeing Berk. Hic and Astrid have built it up so much that I'm expecting it to be some Viking country filled with dragons."

"Dang, that'd be pretty cool."

"I hope so. Okay, three: what's my middle name?" I asked slyly, trying to catch her off guard.

She just smiled at me coolly. "You don't have one."

I spluttered in mock annoyance. "You pay too much attention when I talk."

"Oh, do I? Well in that case, I'll stop listening to you." She turned and looked over at the far wall.

"Wait, no –"

"Oh, I'm sorry, did you say something?" she asked, looking back at me. "The lighting over there is just so fascinating –"

"Alright, Else –"

"I mean it's so much more interesting than my boyfriend –"

I huffed dramatically. "You're mean."

She smiled and blew me a kiss.

"I'm bored of this game," I proclaimed, still pouting.

She chuckled. "Yeah, it's not as much fun when you already know the person."

I glanced at the time on my phone. "Well, we probably should leave as soon as we finish eating."

"Yeah..." she agreed, sounding somewhat reluctant. I couldn't blame her – I wasn't all that eager to leave either.

We finished, split the check, and went back out to her car. "Can you pull up directions to the airport, please?" she asked as we buckled our seatbelts.

"Sure thing." I pulled my phone out of my pocket and opened my map app while she fiddled with something on her phone. I glanced at her. "Watcha doing?"

She gave me a sly smile. "You'll see..."

As soon as the song started playing, I laughed. "How did you know I love this song?"

"You said Owl City was one of your favorite artists. I took a wild guess."

"YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES IF TEN MILLION FIREFLIES LIT UP THE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP!" I sang at the top of my lungs.

"Lower the volume of your voice please, Mr. Frost," Elsa mockingly scolded. "I want to be able to hear when I'm thirty."

I stuck my tongue out at her but continued singing quietly.

When we got to the airport, Elsa parked in one of the big parking garages. I got my bags out of the back, and we walked into the terminal.

"Where are you supposed to meet Hiccup and Astrid?" Elsa asked, looking around.

I checked my texts. "They said they're at the check-in spot." I looked up and pointed. "There they are."

Hiccup and Astrid were waving. We walked over to them.

"Hello!" Elsa said. She gave them both a hug. "You guys ready?"

"Yup," Astrid said, patting her suitcase.

"You have everything? Phones? Chargers? Toothbrushes?"

"Yes, Mom," Hiccup said, laughing.

Elsa rolled her eyes. "Sorry for looking out for you."

"Alright, well, there's a security checkpoint over there," I said, pointing. "Maybe we'd better head over."

"Yeah, probably. We'll miss you!" Hiccup said, giving Elsa another hug.

"I'll miss you guys too," she replied, hugging him back.

"Let's let the lovebirds have a moment alone." Astrid grabbed Hiccup's arm and pulled him away. "We'll wait for you, Jack."

Elsa and I watched them walk away and then turned to face each other. "Well..." I said reluctantly. "I guess this is it."

She hugged me. "I'll miss you."

"You too, princess." I gave her a squeeze. "Call every weekend?"

"Every weekend. Make sure to drink plenty of water and get enough sleep."

"I will, promise. Kiss?"

She pulled away enough to kiss me. I smiled and ran my hand through her hair. "You are one fantastic woman. I'm so lucky."

She blushed and hid her face in my shirt. "Stop, you're gonna make me cry."

"Wouldn't want that." I smiled and kissed her on the forehead. "Bye, Princess. I'll talk to you soon."

"Let me know when you take off and when you land."

"Of course."

She gave me a peck on the cheek. "Alrighty. Well, I guess you'd better go."

I gave her hand a squeeze and then let go as I walked toward Hiccup and Astrid. Right before we headed into the security checkpoint, I turned around and waved. Elsa smiled and waved back.
