Elsa's POV

The whole school was buzzing with anticipation as I strode through the main hall, my office slip clutched in one hand. I passed several groups of people making posters and banners and whatnot before I finally reached the main office and went inside.

"Miss Winters!" Mrs. Potts, the school secretary, smiled at me brightly. "What can I do for you today?"

"The headmaster wants to see me," I said, showing her the slip.

"Oh, of course." She pointed over to the waiting area. "He'll be with you shortly. Please, make yourself comfortable."

"Thank you, ma'am." I walked over and sat in one of the chairs. Less than a minute later Hans walked in, also carrying a slip.

"Ah, Mr. South," Mrs. Potts said. "You're here to see the headmaster, I presume?"

"Yes," Hans replied as he started to walk down the hall to the headmaster's office.

"He's in a meeting," Mrs. Potts said, calling him back. "He'll be with you as soon as he can. Please wait over there with Miss Winters."

I crossed my legs as Hans came and sat one chair away from me. "Hey gorgeous," he said, winking.

"Bite me," I shot back.

Hans is my sister's ex-boyfriend. He's been after me since they broke up, but to say I wasn't interested would be a massive understatement.

I heard a door open, and then two people I didn't recognize walked down the hall. They must have been the new transfer students from the Fox performing arts school; I was pretty sure their names were Anastasia and Dimitri. I smiled warmly at them. Transferring to a new school, especially somewhere like Disney Prep, must be terrifying.

Anastasia smiled back. "Hey, are you guys Elsa and Hans?"

"Yeah, that's us," Hans replied.

"The headmaster said to send you in now."

"Oh, okay, thank you!" I said as Hans and I stood.

We walked down the little hallway until we reached the door with the name plaque that said "Roy E. Disney" in big letters. I knocked.

"Come in!" the headmaster called.

We opened the door and walked in. "Hi, Mr. Disney!" I said.

"Elsa! Hans!" He smiled brightly and gestured to the two armchairs in front of his desk. "Please, sit down."

We sat.

"I called you here to talk about the Touchstone Games with DreamWorks Academy. As prom king and queen, you will be representing our school at the opening and closing ceremonies."

I nodded. I remembered the guidance counselor Ms. Fairy telling us about that. Hans looked like this was all news to him, not that he cared.

"You don't have to do anything too complicated," Mr. Disney said as he handed us each a script. "Just stand up at the podium and read your prepared lines when it's your turn. We'll have a rehearsal this afternoon to prepare."

"Okay, thank you!" I took my script and looked over the front page.

"One more thing. I'd like you all to help with setting up today. Here are passes excusing you from class for the rest of the day." He handed them to us. "I've already notified all your teachers, but if someone catches you in the hall and asks why you're not in class you can show them these. I think the main areas where people are setting up are the foyer, the arena in the back, and the two main gyms. I'd recommend going there, finding an adult, and asking if they need help with anything. If they don't, then move on to another location."
