A/N: Thought I'd throw in some Hiccastrid fanart this time (or apparently it's Hiccstrid?? I don't super like that ship name so I'm gonna stick with Hiccastrid)

Art is called Modern!HTTYD 2: Hiccstrid by Lightningskill on DeviantArt.

Elsa's POV

I couldn't believe it was the last day of the Touchstone Games. Today the only event was going to be a huge carnival with games and food and fun shows to watch. Then tonight would be a formal dance that ended with the closing ceremonies.

I stood in front of my closet for what seemed like forever, mulling over what I should wear and trying to convince myself that the reason I cared so much was not that this might be the last time I saw Jack.

Eventually I decided on my Disney mascot shirt loosely tucked into a breezy knee-length silver skirt; simple, but cute. I picked out some white tennis shoes and tied my hair up in a braided bun. I briefly considered adding some light makeup but decided against it since I would be outside all day and didn't want to get too hot. Instead I grabbed a bottle of sunscreen and applied it everywhere my skin was showing – I'm pale as heck and burn very easily.

I stood in my mirror, surveying my outfit one last time. I was a little nervous about trying to look cute so soon after the, um, incident, but reminded myself that Hans was still stuck with Dr. Weselton and wouldn't try anything.

Comforted with that knowledge, I grabbed my bag and headed downstairs.

The field behind the school was filled with colorful tents and stands. Anna and I wandered around, looking at everything and trying to find our friends. We finally saw them standing in a group by a funnel cake stand. Hiccup and Kristoff seemed to be in a heated debate about something, while Merida and Astrid were laughing at them.

"Hey, guys!" Anna called, waving. I smiled.

"Hi!" Tooth ran forward and grabbed our hands. "Look at all this food!" she exclaimed, dragging us over to the stand. "There are funnel cakes and pretzels here, and cotton candy over there!"

"DreamWorks has never done anything like this just for us," Bunny said with what sounded like a hint of jealousy.

"Disney hasn't either," I said, somewhat surprised. They'd gone all out before, but this was a new level.

"Ah, there he is! The man of the hour!" Hiccup exclaimed, making a grand sweeping gesture toward something behind me. We all turned to see Jack sauntering up with Mr. North in tow. "Come to grace us with your presence, my lord?"

"I can't tell if you're talking to me or North," Jack said, smirking. His hair was messy per usual, and he was wearing a light blue T-shirt with a cool icicle pattern and had his hands tucked into the pockets of black jeans.

Wow, black jeans outside in this weather. He must be burning up, I thought. Instead I just smiled at him.

"So, what should we do first?" Tooth clapped her hands and bounced up and down. "Ooh! Let's play some games! WAIT, no, let's get food! I want cotton candy!"

Rapunzel laughed and snaked an arm around Tooth's. "Let's do games first, that way we're not trying to do stuff with greasy hands. Everybody good with that?"

We all nodded.

"Okay, let's go!" Anna grabbed Rapunzel's hand, and the three of them sped off with everyone else trying to keep up.

"Hey," Jack said, smiling at me as we pulled up the rear of our group.

"Hey yourself," I replied, smiling back.
