Chapter 30 - And Your Enemies Closer

Elsa's POV

We just stood like that for a second. Then he frowned slightly and looked away.

Did I do something?

"Jack, my man!" Flynn clambered out of the pool and clapped him on the shoulder. "It's good to see you again!"

"Yeah, you too," Jack replied, pulling him in for a hug.

"Hey Bunny!" Kristoff called, getting out and walking up to them.

"What's up, mate?" Bunny grinned.

"Stare much?" Tooth teased.

I jumped and turned to see her standing right next to me, grinning. "Uh, no," I stammered. "I just – I didn't expect to see you guys here." I smiled. "I'm really excited!"

"Yeah, me too!" She hugged me.

Astrid and Merida came over to us. Astrid pulled off her T-shirt to reveal that she and Merida were wearing the same teal one-piece. They just looked at each other for a second and then burst out laughing.

"Well, I see someone has great taste," Merida joked, making finger guns. Astrid automatically made them back.

Tooth set her bag down and untied her wrap dress, showing her ombré royal-blue-to-forest-green one-piece. I glanced over at all the boys and saw they were just wearing solid-colored swim trunks.

"Boring, right?" Tooth asked, reading my thoughts.

I laughed. "I guess fun patterns aren't for everyone."

"You may be able to tan, but I will look like a lobster!" Jack was yelling. The rest of the boys just laughed and ran off. Jack groaned and pulled a bottle out of his bag. "Tooth, a little help?"

"Be right back." Tooth got up and walked over to him.

I turned away from them and saw that Astrid and Hiccup were helping each other apply sunscreen. Merida tied her hair into a bun. "Shall we?"

"Let's go!" Anna exclaimed. She ran over and jumped into the pool. Merida followed. Rapunzel and I walked down the steps and eased into the water.

"CANNONBALL!" Kristoff yelled, hurling himself into the pool.

"Kristoff!" Rapunzel shrieked as we all got splashed with water.

Anna and I started laughing.

"My turn!" Astrid ran over and cannonballed into the water, splashing us all a second time. I held my hands up in front of my face.

"Come on guys, get in the water!" Hiccup yelled to everyone who was still on the patio as he slid in.

Bunny grinned and started running toward the pool.

"Bunny NO –" Tooth started to yell but was cut off as he leapt into the pool. We all shrieked.

Anna swam over to me and started splashing me with water. "Anna!" I screamed as I splashed her back.

"Ugh, you guys are splashing me too!" Rapunzel whined playfully.

"Let's have a chicken fight!" Astrid yelled.

"Oh, you're on!" Merida yelled back.

Astrid laughed and climbed onto Hiccup's shoulders.

"I need a teammate!" Merida said, looking around.

"I'll do it." Bunny swam over to her and helped her up on his shoulders.

"Ready?" Kristoff asked.

"YES!" They all said.
