Jack's POV

I looked over the list of competitors a second time. "I thought you said Flynn was in this race," I said to Elsa, who was sitting next to me in the stands.

"He is." She leaned over and pointed to one of the names on the program I was holding. "That's him."

Eugene Fitzherbert. "I'm confused."

She laughed. "That's his real name. Sophomore year he played a character in a show named Flynn Rider and absolutely nailed it. He kept acting like him even after the show was done, so we all started calling him Flynn. He doesn't like the name Eugene anyway, so he was more than happy about it. Except he still lets Rapunzel call him that; she likes it better."

"Huh. Interesting."

Bunny came and sat down next to me, followed by the rest of the student council. "North's looking for you," he said as Hiccup and Astrid showed up and sat behind us.

"Why?" I asked, although I was pretty sure I had some idea.

"Because of that punch, dude! They don't want to suspend anyone during the event, so they're just making you and Hans have faculty escorts for the rest of the week until they figure out what to do."

"You'll never guess who Hans got paired up with," Merida snickered from the seat behind Elsa.

Elsa smiled and covered her mouth. "Please tell me it's Dr. Weselton."

"Yup!" Merida replied, grinning.

"Ugh, good. He's awful."

Kristoff laughed. "I bet Hans'll regret ever messing with you after spending the week with Dr. Weasel Town."

"I bet he'll regret it after a day," Anna chimed in.

"Look, there he is!" Rapunzel squealed, pointing. We all looked and saw Flynn mounting a large white horse with a golden mane.

I leaned over to Bunny. "You're not mad at me for dipping earlier, are you?"

"Are you kidding? Dude, you punched the Disney prom king! I don't think I could ever be mad at you again!"

I kind of laughed. "Well, alright then. Glad to know we're good."

"Ope, looks like the race is about to start," Hiccup said.

Elsa's POV

"Wow, that was impressive," Jack said as we walked off the course. "Flynn's really good."

"Yeah," I agreed. "Although I think most of the credit should go to Max."

Jack chuckled. "Is that his horse?"

"Well, technically he's Rapunzel's horse, but yeah, that's the one he races with."

"Wait, Rapunzel has a horse? Here?"

I laughed. "Yeah, it's kind of a long story."

"I see." He stuck his hands in his pockets. "So, where is this frozen yogurt place you spoke of?"

"Right on that corner," I said, pointing.

"Yay!"

I smiled. We'd been trying to figure out something to do to pass the time, and I mentioned the bomb frozen yogurt place that was only a block away from school. Jack said he wanted to try it. All of our friends mysteriously had other places they had to be, so we were going alone.

"Just so we're clear, my treat," I said as I opened the door.

"What? No!"

"Yes." I nodded my head once. "I used up a lot of your hot water. Let me pay you back with free yogurt."

He huffed dramatically. "Fine."

We both got birthday cake-flavored yogurt in chocolate sprinkle cones. We realized this and started laughing.

"See?" Jack said as we walked up to the register. "It's scary how much we have in common."

I smiled and handed my card to the person working the counter. Once I'd paid, we went and sat down at a table.

"How long have you lived in Pixie Hollow?" Jack asked.

"All my life," I answered. "What about you? How long have you been in Burgess?"

"Same," he replied. "Where are your parents from?"

"Arendelle, in Norway. They moved here after they got married, about a year before I was born."

"Oh, you're Norwegian? Me too!" He paused. "Well, half Norwegian."

"Oh, really?" I perked up. "That's so cool! Whose side do you get it from?"

"My mom. She's from Spitsbergen."

"Do you speak Norwegian?"

"No, but she does."

I chuckled. "Well, I guess I'll have to go back to your house sometime. I want someone to practice with."

He smiled. "I'm sure she'd love that. She doesn't get to speak it much nowadays."

"What about your dad? Where is he from?"

"He's lived in Burgess all his life. I'm kind of hoping I don't end up like that."

"You don't want to stay in Burgess?"

"No, I want to live in Iceland, remember?" He smiled. "I don't mind it, it's just pretty quiet. Nothing much ever happens there, and if I settle down and have kids I don't want to continue the tradition of living there."

I nodded slowly.

"What about you? Where would be your ideal place to live?"

"I'm not sure," I admitted. "I mean, I don't know if I'd want to leave Pixie Hollow. It's pretty quiet too, but it's all I've ever known and everyone I know is here. I guess it might be nice to live in Arendelle though; I've been there a few times, and it's gorgeous."

"Do you want kids?"

"Not really," I said. "To be perfectly honest, I don't trust myself with the life of another human being. Besides, I want to be an ice dancer, and I don't personally believe that kind of career is fully compatible with raising kids."

"Oh, that makes sense. So, ice dancer?" he asked with a smirk.

I felt myself blush. "Yeah, I love skating. And dancing. But especially skating."

"Is there a figure skating team here or something?"

"No, I do it outside of school. There's a rink pretty close to my house where I've been taking lessons since I was like five, and I practice there a lot."

"Well that's awesome."

"So what kind of things do you like to do outside of school?"

He shrugged. "I don't know, stuff."

"Thank you," I said. "That's very helpful."

"Hardy har har." He twirled his spoon in his hand. "I skate a bit myself, I also like sledding. I'm really into winter sports. Other than that, I don't really know. I like watching movies and collecting movie memorabilia, I like playing with the kids next door..."

I nodded. "All valid hobby choices."

"I'm thrilled you approve."

"Well, you should be. I have excellent taste."

He smirked. "I think I can agree with you there."
