Elsa's POV

"YOU'RE GOING OUT WITH HIM????" Anna screeched, practically rupturing my eardrums.

I winced. "For the love of all humanity, calm your crazy self down. We're just getting lunch."

"THAT COUNTS!"

"What, you don't get lunch with your friends?"

She flopped down on my bed. "When are you going to get it through your thick skull that you want a different relationship with him than friendship?"

"Hey!"

She threw a pillow at me.

"If I remember correctly, you and Kristoff were friends before you started dating." I threw it back at her. "And just because maybe I want something else with him, it doesn't mean we can't still be friends."

She huffed dramatically. "Alright, fine. But you'd better make me your maid of honor at your wedding."

I rolled my eyes and pulled out the clothes I'd picked out for today. "Go away, I need to get dressed."

She jumped up. "Okay. I'll go see if breakfast is ready."

After she ran out of the room, I changed from my pajamas into a plain light blue form-fitting T-shirt, denim shorts, and white socks with little pink birds all over them. I wasn't sure what to do with my hair, so I decided to go with a simple high ponytail.

A few minutes later, I heard Anna bound up the stairs and knock on my door. "Breakfast is ready!"

* * *

The doorbell rang at 1:03. "I'll get it!" Anna yelled.

"Oh no," I mumbled to myself. I grabbed my phone, keys, and wallet, and quickly put them in my pockets as I left my room.

When I got downstairs, Anna and Jack were laughing about something. He looked up when he saw me and smiled brightly. "Hey! You look nice."

"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself." He was wearing a light blue button-down over a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

"Why thank you." He held his arms out. "May I give you a hug?"

"You may." I leaned in and hugged him.

Anna squealed under her breath.

I let go of Jack and shot her a death glare. "Okay, I'm ready to go if you are."

"Great. Let's ride."

"Bye!" I called to my parents as we walked out.

"So," Jack said, pulling his keys out of his pocket. "Any ideas?"

"Oh, darn, I was hoping you already had one."

He smiled. "Well, I don't have a preference, but I can pick."

"I like the sound of that."

He thought for a moment. "How about that café by your school? I like that place."

I pursed my lips. "Hm, I'm not sure I want that right now. There's a cute little diner nearby, though, does that sound good?"

He laughed. "I thought I was picking."

I swatted his arm. "I thought you were asking me!"

"A diner sounds great." He shot me a smile as he unlocked his car. "I'm in."

"Yay!" I got in and buckled my seatbelt as he turned the car on. "You'll probably like it."

"I'm sure I will."
