Amanah
"What? Are you jealous?" I asked as I turned to look at him. Woah, his eyes were darker, and he was wearing that scowl so well. He looked like a baby about to throw a tantrum. "You are?" I squeaked. How amazing would it be if he were jealous?
His face slowly welcomed a smile, and he said the words I was expecting more or less, but it did suck to hear him say that. "Of course not; I have a girlfriend," he said, but his arm held my waist tightly while my feet dangled below me.
For someone with a girlfriend, he sure was excited behind me.
"How lucky you are," I smiled, pushing his arm off. "Impudent bastard," I grumbled as I walked into the kitchen to make tea. "You sure you don't want tea, Mr Sage?" I asked through the wall opening.
"I think I'll have some now, please," he said, and I nodded. The poor guy looked uncomfortable. It was Miall's fault.
"I'll have some, too," Malakhi said, sitting beside Michael, his eyes roaming Michael as if he were threatening him.
Why was he such a bully?
"Me too," Miall strolled into the kitchen with a smug look on his face, and I scowled.
"Make it yourself," I grumbled roughly, putting the mug on the counter.
"Are you angry at what I said?" Miall asked, smiling as he walked closer to me. I kept my arms crossed against my chest as I waited silently for the water to boil. "Manah," he sang, and my temper boiled at the same temperature as that kettle.
Of course, I was mad. He would get all touchy with me just to drop my already low expectations. I was mad at myself for giving him such power!
I kept silent as he poked my cheeks, he was slowly testing me and I wasn't going to fall into his bait. "Amanah," he whined, poking my arms before he suddenly found something else to do.
He held my arm and gently squeezed. "Ooh, these are squishier now," he said.
"Oh no, you did not just say that," Malakhi said, opening his eyes in horror. "Run," he mouthed to Miall, and he just stood there squeezing my arm.
Squishier? My arms were squishier now.
"What's wrong Amanah?" Miall asked, smiling. I was over the boiling point right now, and I didn't find him cute.
Would he defend himself if I smashed this mug on his head right now?
"Get away from me while I'm still nice," I looked at him from the corner of my eye, and he immediately let go of my arm and slowly backed away.
His eyes widened as he took me in, "Malakhi, why does she seem different?" I grabbed the empty mug and stalked toward him. Oh, just one mug wouldn't hurt him.
"What did you say about my weight?" I gritted, and Malakhi shrieked.
"She's smiling," Malakhi whispered. "She's terrifying!"
"Amanah," Miall raised his hands, motioning with his hands for me to stop, and I chuckled. "What's wrong with her?" He whispered, looking for help from the others.
"You mentioned her weight, something pregnant human women are very sensitive about," Michael said softly.
"But I didn't mention her weight!"
"You said her arms were squishier now!" Malakhi screamed, and I stared at him. "I didn't say that, Miall did!" He defended himself, and I was super sure they were both testing me.
Alpha and Beta were both some idiots.
"It seems both of you have something interesting to say about my weight. Why don't you come say it right here?" I pointed to my feet, smiling widely as I raised my head.
