Amanah
Whatever spirit had possessed Miall to chop down some wood out in the cold air, without his shirt on, bare-chested and glistening, while breathing in and out so heavily and his growing locks sticking onto his face.
It felt so good to be on holiday finally, but it felt even better watching Mialls shorts ride lower and lower his waist. I'm beyond blessed!
Since Miall was fully reinstated into his role as Alpha, things had certainly been busy. Not only as the leaders of the nation, which was awfully so much pressure but as parents as well.
After I gave birth to Kenji, our baby boy. Miall and I agreed that we should take a break on the baby-making part; I took the decision for him, and it was hard for him since he was such a greedy, horny bastard, but he sooner realised that our hands were already a bit too filled.
We had three babies, all just under five years, plus dutiful roles were hard to jiggle around, but luckily, here in Nioz, I had a family. I had a mother, brothers, a sister, and an amazing husband, who I considered to be my fourth baby.
I really can't express the excitement and fulfilment I felt whenever I was around them. It was definitely not an easy ride, but they all stuck through for me—even when they found out I might be possessed by a powerful, angry deity. Yay!
I didn't necessarily feel any different from my normal self, but the bitch definitely had a knack for giving me the weirdest dreams ever. She had stopped with the pretentious acts of pretending to care in my dreams.
She openly admitted how she just wanted to take over my body and demolish anyone who got in the way of her finding her temple. I shouldn't think it so openly, but as much as she wore a scowl on her face, she was exceptionally beautiful and had a very small waist.
Although the priests assured me we still had a bit of time before her awakening, sometimes I felt as if I was losing a grip on reality, which scared me. If she took over my body if I did allow her to do so, would I ever see my family again?
I couldn't afford to lose to her, especially when my children were still growing.
"Mma! Igai bugu yanga?" Maniah asked, tugging my shirt.
Learning the language was definitely the hardest part of being the Luna, and Miall really wanted his children to be in touch with their roots.
"Check in the bottom drawer; that's where I put your book," I pointed to the living room shelves. She squinted her eyes and smirked as she walked away.
"Ooh, Daddy won't like the fact you replied in English when I asked you in T'dnevish."
"You just replied in English too." Maniah, unfortunately, also adopted my smart mouth, among other habits. Smart ass, annoying child.
As small as she was, she was also the bully to her brothers and liked to pretend as if she didn't care about anyone, but the way her eyes would sparkle anytime her father came back home after being away for weeks, or how she would always be around her brothers whenever they were outside training spoke volumes.
I guess I could say I was just like her, and I hated it so much when Miall was gone for weeks. I became anxious, and I was unsettled; I obviously would've loved to follow him to where he was going, but I also had my duties.
At first, I thought my job would be just for me to sit and look pretty, sometimes wander around the land and smile at everyone, but it was quite the opposite.
I still needed to look pretty, but that was only when I was in public; behind the doors, I was always a mess who was buried under heaps of work.
"Mma, Kenji is stuck on the top bunk bed," Kye said, looking up at me with doe eyes.
