<Lanshau>
Kallen sat beside Otto's bed to watch him sleep. There was nothing more she wanted to do than watch Otto sleep. He had an indescribable smile that was too precious to look away from. He initially slept on his back in a prim and proper manner. It was as though he was sculpted to look as stoic and handsome as possible when he slept. He always slept like this though couldn't remember a time after their childhood when he smiled while he slept. She sighed taking in the view, Otto was a man of secrets. His sleeping body exposed nothing in her presence. Then ever slightly his position started to change. Otto gradually curled up in a fetal position and wrapped a portion of the extravagant silk sheets in his embrace. He held it preciously, like a newborn and their first blanket, their first comfort in the world.
Kallen was stunned for quite some time. Inwardly she tried to define Otto's movement but she was no psychologist and understanding others was not her strong suit. She wanted to protect people, and ensure they had happy and dignified lives but that idea was a duty instilled within her since birth. She wanted to be a hero but heroes themselves don't make others happy at least not directly. There will always be a distance between heroes and the people they protect. The path of a hero was always a lonely one.
But she wasn't alone, Otto was by her side. Yet Kallen was lost, she didn't truly know what path to take. Otto tried his best to support her but he didn't how to walk the path beside her. That's why Kallen wanted to meet the Celestial Immortal. Kallen wanted guidance from one who seemingly walked the same path she was walking for a long time. Kallen placed all her hopes on the celestial. Once Kallen learned what she needed to know she would be able to live happily with Otto. Despite her reverence towards her father, his spirit from the grave told her to claim Otto's life. She could never truly follow the Kaslana's justice she was taught because of this.
Thinking about the future caused Kallen to feel a sudden urgency. She wished to sit around and wait for Otto's recovery but sitting around wouldn't progress her desires. Kallen took one last look at Otto's peaceful grace before walking out of the bedroom into the dining hall. She rang the bell. After a moment a servant knocked and Kallen invited him in.
"How may I be of service?"
"I would like to start the process of meeting the Immortal."
"I'm afraid at this time we can't comply with this request."
Kallen's eyes sparked a bit of disappointment and annoyance tapped against her skull.
"Is the matter complicated?"
"No our connection has gone on a mission of its own. They'll be back in a few days."
"I'll wait then."
Kallen's tone was uninviting and laced with cold intent. The servant could feel the room's temperature drop by a few degrees.
"Is the young master alright?"
"He's fine just resting."
"Then is there anything else you need?"
"No... On second thought, is there a notice board, or a request log?"
"Yes, a little ways across the 4th street, about a block from here. Do you need someone to escort you?"
"No need, just summon a servant to watch over Otto."
"Very well then. Would you also like us to send someone to inform you of the connection's arrival?"
"Yes, please. Thank you."
"Should the young master wake what should we tell him?"
"That I'll be away for a while, clearing my head."
