Otto woke up to a colorless world. He was inwardly disappointed, he wanted to wake up to Kallen's love once more. At the time the world had become so incredibly vibrant. A tapestry of flavor and perfumed scents had enveloped his mind in a divine light that tasted all too sweet. After such an experience that couldn't be described beyond words, waking up in her absence was dull. The world wasn't always beautiful, Otto knew this well, but he wished it so.

He sighed and felt his head. It was still hot but his headache subsided. His throat was only slightly sore and his body felt normal. Normally a cold or a fever would have been enough to confine Otto in his bed for two weeks. But now that he had grown his weak immune system had become strong and healthy. The demanding journey also forced his body to adapt, he actually grew quite a bit on the journey. Otto knew his body better than anyone else. He had treated himself so many times. To him, his growth was strange and not the body he knew. Regardless at the end of the day as long as his body was healthy he was content. It's not as though he would be able to manifest a stigmata and even if he did he was sure its power wouldn't be strong enough to make a difference. He studied the powers of stigmata if only loosely.

The Kaslanas were gifted with monstrous strength, incredible Honkai resistance, and adaptability. Legends of their ancestors also indicated that their stigmata could grant another set of abilities. Perhaps Kallen's ice-bound abilities were related to this.

The Schariacs on the other possessed a near similar amount of strength as the Kaslana's. In the realm of Honkai adaptability, the Schariacs paled in comparison to the Kaslanas but they made up for it in extremely high Honkai resistance border lining on immunity.

The Apocalypse house on the other hand fell short in most of these categories, the only unique trait their stigmata had was a healing factor that allowed their strongest warriors to grow back limbs. This trait made Otto certain that he would never manifest a stigmata. His scars wouldn't exist otherwise and his body wouldn't have been so sickly.

Otto shook his head recounting the general information he had regarding stigmata. It was a realm of research no one had dabbled with, one he didn't dare dabble with anytime soon. He got out of bed and found a servant patiently waiting outside the room.

"Good morning young master."

A bow followed the greeting. The servant girl was respectful and professional. She reminded him of the maids back home. He didn't interact with them much.

"Morning. Kallen went out I assume?"

"Yes, the young miss left a few days ago."

"A few days ago?"

"The young miss went towards the mercenary guild. She took a commission."

"The details?"

Otto wore a worried expression, Kallen was still heavily injured. To hunt Honkai beasts alone was too rash for her. Maybe she joined a party. A group. That way her safety could be ensured. Right? Would she rely on others? Were there mercenaries strong enough to fight with her? The servant so professionally attentive quickly listed the details before Otto's expression could worsen.

"The young miss still resides within the city. She took a missing person case. A young girl."

To the servant's delight, Otto seemed to calm down.

"Has she sent any information?"

"No young master. She left after informing us of the details of the commission and that should someone arrive speaking of her name we should let him in. A short stout man, middle-aged, roughly five feet tall with black eyes and hair."
