Kallen and Otto were on the ferry heading south. It was getting chilly but the two decided to exit their rooms to breathe some fresh air. Winter was coming and the two were guaranteed to have a long and arduous journey ahead of them.

"Look, Otto, I can make a miniature cloud with my breath." Kallen let a breath of hot air out of her mouth and to Otto's surprise it collected at the palm of her hand for a few seconds before disappearing. It was cold, sure but Otto's breath wasn't visible.

"I have no words to explain what just happened," Otto replied intrigued. Kallen was fooling around like her usual self. When would she grow up? Probably never and it was best for Otto if she retained her childish nature that she was shedding.

Kallen smiled and immediately conjured a cloud of breath on each of her hands and before Otto could react she sandwiched Otto's head between them. It was extremely cold and Otto had no words because he was shocked by the cold. As far as Otto knew Kallen did not have the ability of cryokinesis. But it seemed like something was manifesting now.

"Cold isn't it?" Kallen said laughing and smiling.

"Like a snowball." Otto lied. Seeing Kallen so carefree warmed Otto's body to the point that he couldn't even feel the cold.

"Huh? Your face is red!" Kallen noticed, forming a look of curiosity. "Is it perhaps too cold? I can't really tell but you normally don't get this red unless it's really cold."

Otto backed away a bit, a move that rather surprised Kallen but she soon chalked it up to Otto's wariness to receive another blast of sheer cold. "Hey, I won't do it again. Don't worry about it."

Otto didn't respond because he didn't back away due to the potential threat of being blasted with cold. He backed away due to the irregular patterns within his body. Otto was well aware of the fact that he loved Kallen and would like to be with her. But until a few days ago he never thought he had a chance or rather there were much more important things to worry about. Kallen's safety and her happiness. Otto never put his desires first and now he was unconsciously pulling them a little forward. Resulting in a little bit of awkwardness that he had to disguise.

"I know Kallen," Otto said as he recollected himself. He patted his cheeks to warm them up and took his place beside Kallen on the rail of the ferry. The ferry was large and could easily accommodate over 200 hundred passengers, not including crew. It had a dining area, a kitchen, and a few recreational rooms. Otto and Kallen shared a room like always, there was no reason not to. They had slept in the same room numerous amounts of times when they were children all the way to now. It was cheaper too and they needed to conserve funds to buy supplies and another horse when they got off. It was smooth sailing and in a couple of days, they would reach their destination. Basel, a small town at the tip of Switzerland.

"It's kind of strange Otto, what do you think of my new abilities?" Kallen asked.

"Frightening, to say the least, until we know more about them try to refrain from using them," Otto replied with caution. "Perhaps we can ask the Guardian of Shenzhou when we find her."

"Yeah,... How will we find her?" Kallen asked quizzically. She looked so cute when she was questioning something. Otto resisted the urge to pat her on the head.

"We'll think about it after you eat."

"But I'm not-Gurrrgh." Kallen's stomach let out a rumble to contradict her sentence.

She was a little embarrassed but smiled along with Otto, nodding her head. "Yeah after we eat."
