Hi guys!

Many of you were asking for a special chapter, in short, an alternative ending. Reading your comments inspired me to give it a try. And if I were to disregard all the drama in the past, this is how I would personally want to end this story:

After her graduation, Mika happened to bump into Kris, yes, Kris Porter. Without her knowing it, Kris had been eyeing on her long before. She was his ultimate crush but he had secretly kept his feelings towards her over the years for Kiefer's sake, his good friend and teammate. When he finally knew that Mika and Kiefer were no longer an item, he grabbed the opportunity and asked Mika out. She was hesitant at first knowing that it will be such an awkward situation if ever. But Kris was very persistent. He gave her his word that he will make sure that everyone around them will fully come to understand and accept them together. And true enough, he didn't fail her. He talked to Kiefer. He even discussed it to their common friends and made sure that everyone will give their blessing.

But Kiefer was uneasy the whole time. He didn't see it coming. Kris is his good friend and teammate, and his parents have always treated Kris as their own son. It was so hard for Kiefer to phatom the fact that out of all the men out there, it was Kris who took the courage to knock on his door and confessed his feelings for Mika.

"You know that I'm not comfortable with it, don't you?", Kiefer asked.

"I know.", Kris answered.

"What if I say no?"

"I'm just here to let you know Kief. Not to ask for your permission."

"At the expense of our friendship?"

"That's why I'm here. I don't want to betray you."

"You already did."

"I didn't Kief. It's just my heart who betrayed me. I didn't choose to love Mika, I just felt it."

"That's why you found joy in my misery."

"You did it on your own. You hurt her."

"Well that's none of your business. You don't know anything about us."

"Yes. The same way that you don't know anything about us."

"Then I guess my thoughts about it don't matter anymore. Best of luck. You can leave now."

After 8 months of courtship, Mika finally said yes. Kiefer was already out of the picture. They haven't seen each other within those months. But it's not actually fate, they just intentionally avoided each other's presence. Mika was not yet over with Kiefer when she started it out with Kris. And Kris was fully aware of that. He knew that she was vulnerable back then, but he didn't take advantage of that. He patiently waited for Mika to finally requite the love. And she did, half heartedly. But Kris was very persistent and consistent. He didn't focus on how to make Mika get over with Kiefer, rather, he made her fall in love with him setting aside the fact that Kiefer still occupies a huge amount of space in her heart.

After 4 years, Kris proposed, and she said yes. At this point, Mika seems to have accepted the fact that Kiefer's not the man for him. Kris was nothing but a good boyfriend to her. His consistency made her stay. But at the end of each day, Mika would still find herself thinking about Kiefer. She's torn, but she's standing by her decision. And she will marry Kris.

Two nights before her wedding, somebody showed up. Kiefer was at her doorstep, with all the sadness that this world could ever imagine. For the first time in almost 4 years, they've seen each other again.
