Two more weeks and it's Valentine's Day again. But as what they say, it's the ladies' favorite day of the year, at least to those who are in a relationship. This time last year, everything was different. It was still Trinca whom I made feel special. She loves flowers, so I gave her a beautiful arrangement, the usual gimmicks a guy can think of, then we had a fine dining dinner. But now, it's just different. I'm excited. I want it to be something unique just like Mika's personality. Something unusual. Something that she won't expect. I think I need a few days to conceptualize everything. It's going to be our first V-day together, I want it to be perfect. It's going to be a countdown. I'm thinking of three surprises for her. Siyempre, I'll reserve the best for the big day.

I didn't expect that Kiefer will come over and invite me for dinner. He just said that he might not be able to see me for a few days because of basketball practice but he's right here, driving, and we're off to eat dinner.

"You said you're busy? Eh why are you here?"

"Pag gusto, may paraan. Pag ayaw, maraming dahilan. Right babe?"

"Wow. Bagong bago the saying ah?", I jokingly said while pinching his nose and tickling her neck."

"Babe, I'm driving. You're teasing me. Pag ako nadistract..."

"Haha. Fine. Hey, your phone is ringing. Someone's calling", I said.

"Yes, hello? Ah that's good. I gave the address na di ba? Just deliver it to that address. Thank you talaga", Kiefer said.

"Uhm, babe, sino yun?"

"Ahh, ano, si Mama kasi. May nagustuhan siyang shoes. Eh ang mahal daw. So she didn't buy it. I ordered it for her na lang."

"Wow. How sweet. What kind of shoes ba?"

"It's a running shoes eh. Parang pang therapy sa paa. I just forgot the model name."

"Ah, I'm sure Tita while like it. What color?"

"White and green. Ganda nga eh."

"Wow, La salle colors ah."

"Nahawa na din si Mama sa akin. She loves white and green people na rin."

"Banat pa."

"Haha. I love you", Kiefer said.

After dinner, it's time for Kiefer to bring me home. Early practice pa kasi tomorrow. Bumaba muna siya and I gave him something to drink. Kawawa naman. Nauuhaw daw siya. I went upstairs muna to get the dvd na gusto niya hiramin. He's with Den sa baba.

"Den, ikaw na bahala ah. Basta make sure hindi ma obvious ni Mika yung plano. I want everything to be a surprise."

"Yes. Ako bahala. Magaling ako diyan."

I was about to go downstairs when I heard the two of them talking about a surprise. Sorry Kiefer, narinig ko eh. I'm excited. I have no idea what it is. So I'll just play mum about it. Sana hindi ako ma obvious. I gave the dvd to Kiefer then hinatid ko na siya palabas. But I couldn't help but smile. He noticed me tuloy.

"Babe, what's with your smile?", he asked.

"What smile?"

"Yan, na parang natatawa ka na ewan. Anong meron?"

"Wala. I'm just happy. I love you", I said. And hugged him. Para di na mangulit

"Wow, extra sweet ha? I love that. O cge, I'll go na. Baka makita na naman tayo ni bestfriend Ramil. Alam mo na."
