"So, it's like going back to square one?", Thirdy asked.

"Yeah. Something like that."

"Kaya?"

"Of course. I'm willing to do it all over again."

"So it means she can entertain other suitors?"

"Well, that's the sad part about it. I guess. She said she's single as far as she's concerned."

"Kaya mo ah? I can't imagine how you're going to handle it. How about Fonzo? Were you able to talk to him?"

"No. I've got no business to deal with him."

"Eh how's that? Manliligaw din siya?"

"You know what, I really don't care anymore. I'm confident that Mika and I will reconcile soon. So iyang Fonzo na iyan, wala iyan."

"Don't be over confident bro, remember, matinik din iyang si Fonzo."

Flashback

Mika and I went to a coffee shop to talk. It's not the usual crowded coffee place so we won't be conscious that others might overhear our conversation. I know that it's me who should start the talking. So I asked her first if anong coffee gusto niya.

"Babe, what's your order? Same? Your favorite?", I asked. But she didn't answer me. Instead, she raised an eyebrow at me. I guess I know why.

"Sorry. I mean, Mika, what coffee do you want?"

"Caramel", she answered.

"But that's not your favorite, right?"

"People change, and so our favorites", she said.

After getting our order, I sat beside her, but she moved her chair away from mine.

"Sorry. I'll just sit there, sa harap mo", I said.

She's not looking at me. She's busy with her coffee.

"What now?", she asked.

"Huh?"

"I thought you wanted to say something that's why you brought me here."

"Yah, sorry. I'm quite nervous, I guess. Uhm, but first, I want to say sorry."

"I've heard that a lot of times already", she said.

"I know. Okay, I was wrong. I didn't know why I did that. Ang alam ko lang, I was so pissed that night and I acted like a jerk. No excuses Miks, I've wronged you. And I regret everything that I did that night."

"So, whenever you're pissed at me, I should expect for something like that to happen?"

"No. As I've said, I didn't don't what got me that night."

"Yah. So how did it start? Were you drunk already the moment you started flirting with her?"

"Uhm, no."

"What else happened? Ano pa iyong mga hindi ko nakita na dapat kong malaman? Tell me once and for all."

I took a deep breath before answering Mika's query.

"Uhm, we..."

"You what? You had sex? Well, I know you already had sex before. But how about last night?"

"No Miks. I didn't have sex with her. And I've got no plans of doing that."

"So ano nga?"

"We kissed", I said and waited for Mika's reaction. She put the cup of coffee on the table and stood up. She's about to leave but I grabbed her wrist.
