"Coz babe, the best things happen unexpectedly. Pakasal na tayo?"

Mika was about to say something when someone knocked on the gate.

"Good evening", someone's outside.

"Wait, ako na magbubukas", I told them.

Dumilim paningin ko pagkabukas ng gate. Didn't expect this though. Unexpected indeed.

"Babe, sino yan?", Mika said while walking towards the gate.

And just like me, nagulat din si Mika. We were just there for a moment, nagkabiglaan. Until he finally said something.

"Uhm, si Den? Andiyan?", the guy said.

"Ahhh, yes. Wait, tawagin ko lang", Mika said.

Mika went in to call Den while I stayed just right in front of the guy. I couldn't say anything. I know him. He knows me. But we wouldn't talk to each other.

"Uy, anong meron?", Den said while Mika held my hand telling me to get in na.

But I want to hear what this guy have to say. Duda ako. So hindi ako umalis, hawak ko ang kamay ni Mika ng mahigpit.

"Uhmm, ano kasi, napadaan lang ako, then naalala ko I wanted to borrow pala the book na sinasabi mo, if tapos mo na", he said.

"Ah yah, sure. Teka, pasok ka muna. I'll just get it", Den said. But she looked at us right after. Maybe trying to get a nod from us.

"It's fine", Mika said.

I told Miks na sumama na siya kay Den papunta sa loob. I just want to say something to this guy. But I assured her that I'm not into something. Hindi naman ako makikipag away. So it's just the two of us now.

"Book?", I asked.

"Ano yun Pare?", he said.

"You're really here to borrow a book from Den?"

"Yes. That's what you heard, right?"

"Yes, that's what I've heard. But that's not what I see."

"What do you mean?"

"Lalaki din ako", I said.

"Hindi halata."

Pasuntok na yung kamay ko when I heard that. But Den and Mika were coming out.

"Babe, come on, let's eat na", Mika said while pulling me away from where I'm standing. And this guy keeps on looking at Mika.

"Eto na oh, take your time to read. Done na naman ako diyan", Den said while handing the book over to that guy.

He left and sabay sabay na kami pumasok tatlo sa loob. But he's really into something. He gave Mika one last look pa. But I don't want to ruin this night. And this is not my place. So I have to play it cool. Mika took so much effort in cooking my favorite. Hindi ko sisirain ang moment na to.

We finished eating na and it's time for the girls to take a rest. Bawal na bisita. So hinatid na ako ni Mika palabas. We're just standing near my car, holding hands and facing each other.

"Thank you. Magtatampo na sana ako eh", Mika said.

"No babe, I should be the one to thank you. I've cooked for you before, pero ikaw, this is the first time, and I'll never forget this. You have no idea how much I appreciate this."

"Talaga? I'm glad to hear that. All I want is to make you happy."

"Me too. Uhm, babe, one last, I have a question sana, if you don't mind."
