"Den, bakit naman ganun? He said he's willing to wait."

"Ye, did you give him the chance to explain?"

"I did. But he didn't say anything. I kept on asking him. But he couldn't give an answer. I know him. If wala siyang ginawang mali, he would have defended himself."

Flashback

"Babe?????????"

"Uh-oh", Thirdy and Pauly said.

"What's the meaning of this?", I asked, trying to calm my voice.

"Huh?"

"I'm asking you, why do you have this?"

Kiefer looked at Thirdy while Pauly's trying to keep mum about it. Hindi ko alam, ang alam ko lang they're hiding something from me.

"Uhm, I don't know. Andiyan lang yan."

"What????"

"Babe, we're here na. Let's talk about it later", Kiefer said.

He parked the car and bumaba na kami. Thirdy and Pauly walked away from us while Thirdy's trying to send a signal to Kiefer. I'm confused. What the hell is going on? I know something's up. I won't let this pass this time. I need an answer. He can't pretend that eveything's fine. I'm not stupid. I knew what I saw. I stopped him from walking. I'm getting irate already with his being mum about it.

"Stop and talk to me. Answer me, why do you have this?"

"I said I don't know. I just bought it. I put it there. That's it", Kiefer answered in a rather louder voice.

"I know. I'm not stupid. That's not my point. My point is, we never used this. Never. Wala pang nangyayari sa atin. Alam mo yan. Now, tell me and don't give me a bullshit answer. Bakit bawas to???? I'm not ignorant Kiefer. I know tatlo laman nito. Hindi ako lumaki sa bundok para hindi malaman to. Now, where did you use the other one? Nakikita mo to diba? Damn it. Huwag mo akong gawing tanga."

"Hindi ko alam okay? I have no idea."

"Don't you have any other answer? Hindi mo alam? Wow. You expect me to believe that?"

"Eh sa hindi ko nga alam. You're acting crazy. Praning ka lang."

"You know what, I'm just asking for a decent answer. Yung papaniwalaan ko. I may not be as smart as your ex girlfriends, but I'm definitely not stupid. Crazy and praning? Thanks. Thanks for that, really. Don't you worry, you're free to call me your crazy and praning ex girlfriend from now on."

I walked out and looked for a cab. I was crying the whole time. I didn't know where to go.

Present

"Manong, sabay tayo papuntang school", Thirdy said.

"No."

"Sige na. I don't want to commute eh. Ginamit ni Dad yung mazda."

"I said no. Matanda ka na diba? It's about time na matuto ka magisa. Hindi yung lagi kang nakadikit sa akin."

"May problema ba Manong?"

"Problema? Wow. My girlfriend broke up with me because of your stupid shit. Then you're asking me if may problema ako? Did you see my reaction yesterday? Nakita mo ba kung gaano ako ka helpless while Mika's asking me about that condom? Ano ginawa mo? Nagsalita ka ba? You ran away. We both know the truth, and all I wanted yesterday was for you to speak up. Hindi kita nilaglag coz I know you'll be in trouble. Big trouble. Pero sana naman, sinalba mo ako. Or wala ka lang talagang pake?"

"Manong, natatakot ako eh."

"You're selfish."

Mika

I just went to practice and umuwi na rin right after. Magang maga eyes ko coz of too much crying. Somehow, my teammates are getting used to it, and they manage to deal with me every time. I'm about to take a nap, but I couldn't help myself from checking my phone. I tried not to check it the whole day. Pero hindi ko rin natiis. My inbox is full. Kiefer's flooding it with text messages. But I've made up my mind. My decision is final.

Flashback

"Manong, alis ka?"

"Yes, why?"

"Uhm, someone's coming over kasi."

"Billie?"

"Uhm, no eh."

"Thirds, tigilan mo yan."

"Eh napasubo na eh. She's on her way na. Manong, ngayon lang. This girl is so hot. Baka mapahiya ako."

"Are you out of your mind? You have a girlfriend."

"I know. And I know you understand me. Sige na please, dito lang kami sa room."

"Bahala ka. Out ako diyan."

"Oo. Don't worry. Patay din ako kay Billie pag nalaman niya to."

"Eh you're aware pala of the consequence eh."

"Hindi ko na nga mapipigilan. And one more thing, favor naman Manong, pahingi nung isa mong protection. Wala ako eh."

"Ano? You're damn crazy. You really have a plan of doing it?"

"In case of emergency lang. Sige na, experience na rin for me."

"Gago Thirdy. You're such a gago."

"Pahingi na. Parating na yun eh."

"Thirds, ako nga di ko pa nagagamit yun. Then ikaw, gagamitin mo, sa hindi mo pa girlfriend?"

"I promise, just this one. First and last. Naiintindihan mo ako, alam ko."

"Haaay. Okay. Get it from my wallet. It's there sa drawer. Just get one. And please, leave me out of it. Pag nalaman ni Billie to, and nalaman ni Mika na alam ko, pareho tayong lagot."

"Ako bahala Manong. Di kita ipapahamak."
