"I can't stop them from seeing her. I hope you understand."

"I know. And I understand. Your family loves her. I know that no matter what I do, I can never replace her as far as your family is concerned", Mica said.

"Please don't say that. They like you. But I guess they just need a little more time to get to know you better."

My Mom asked me if it's okay for them to have a dinner with Mika. And who am I to say no. For a long time, they tried to distant themselves from her because of what happened. And I appreciate that. But I guess I have to give it to them this time. They just love her despite everything that happened between us. But I needed to tell Mica about it. I think she deserves to know. She's my girlfriend now. And Mika is just nothing but a thing in the past.

Tonight, I'll be seeing Kiefer's family again, minus him of course. It's been such a long time since I last saw them. I'm actually surprised that they still want to see me. They know what Kiefer went thru because me. And I couldn't thank them enough for not taking it against me. I missed them so much, especially Dani.

Tita Mozzy: Change of plans. I'll have the driver pick you up tonight. Dinner will be here at home. I invited Denise and the rest. Don't worry, Kiefer is out of town. See you.

I don't know what to reply. Kiefer may not be there, but the thought of going to that house again makes me nervous. Memories. We've shared so many memories there. That was our haven. It was once my second home. And now it's starting to haunt me.

The driver just fetched me. I know Tita Mozzy said that Kiefer isn't there, but I want to be sure. So I asked the driver.

"Kuya, sino na po mga andun?"

"Lahat po Ma'am."

"Lahat?"

"Opo. Pero huwag mo kayo mag-alala Ma'am, wala po dun si Sir."

"Ah, salamat. Namiss ko kayo Kuya ah."

"Ako din po Ma'am. Namiss ko po kayong ipagdrive ni Sir."

I didn't bother to respond. I know it's just the start of reminiscing the past, I'm expecting for the worst as soon as I step into that house again.

The door is open. But I just can't move forward and take the first step getting inside.

"Ate Mikaaaaaaa, you're here na!!!"

Dani saw me already. We gave each other a tight hug.

"I missed you ate. Super."

"I missed you too baby girl."

"Tara na, they're all waiting for you."

And they're all here. Everyone's just giving me a tight hug. And I couldn't help but get emotional. Amazing people. How could they love me despite everything?

"Mikaaa, you're getting prettier talaga. Ang ganda ganda mo pa din.Na miss kita sobra", Tita Denise said.

"Ikaw din naman eh. Missed you Tita."

"Let's eat na muna. Later na the chikahan. I'm sure you're hungry na Mika", Tita Mozzy said.

"Na miss mo luto ni Mama noh", Thirdy asked.

"Oo naman."

I just like how they're trying to make me feel comfortable right now. I thought it's going to be awkward. But I was wrong. It's like nothing happened in between. I just love them.

After dinner, it's time for some "karaoke" night. Everyone's in the sala. But I have to change my sweaty shirt.

"Tita. Bihis lang po ako sa cr, pawis eh."
