"Manong, Ate Mika's been calling me kanina pa. She said you're not answering her calls daw", Dani said.

"Yah bro, kanina pa din siya tumatawag sa akin. What's up ba? Ano na naman pinag awayan niyo?", Thirdy asked.

"Tama na yan. Let's just eat", I said.

I'm currently at Eastwood with my family. We just finished hearing mass and we're having dinner at the moment.

"Manong, may problema ba?", Mom asked.

"Nothing Ma."

"But it's been a week. I haven't heard of Mika lately. Ano problema niyo? How come that you're not talking to her?"

"Ma, let them deal with it. Malaki na yang anak mo", Dad said.

"Break na ba kayo anak?"

"Ma, please stop asking na lang. Not now", I said.

Flashback

It's been days since I last saw Mika. I'm quite worried already. I know we're good. But I want to know how she's really doing. As much as I want to go to Taft to visit her, it's not permissible at the moment. Bawal daw sabi ni coach. The thing is, I've been busy with my acads as well. I want to ask her if she already took the pregnancy test, but I'm hesitant. She might take it the wrong way again. But everyday, I try to ask her if she wants or needs anything, but she said wala naman daw.

It's Thursday afternoon, and I badly want to see her. I think I'm going crazy already. I drove to Taft just to try my luck. I asked where she is just to make sure. But she doesn't know that I'm on my way to her dorm. I bought different kinds of fruits just in case she craves again.

"Babe, please meet me outside", I texted.

"You're there? Give me 5 minutes", she replied.

Couldn't help but smile. I'm excited to see her. I thought she'll get mad at me for not giving her the notice. While waiting for her, I saw Cyd with a bunch of grocery items.

"Uy, dami niyan ah. Tulungan na kita."

"Uy Phenom, you're here. It's okay, di naman mabigat."

"Sure? I'm waiting for Mika eh. Just arrived lang din."

"Ah. Naku, good luck sa mood swings niya ah."

I felt nervous for a while. I guess it's all about the possible pregnancy.

"Huh? Ah, ako bahala", I said.

"Alam mo naman siguro topak nun pag meron siya diba?"

"Wait, merong ano?", I asked in confusion.

"Ahh, menstruation?", Cyd answered.

"Meron siya?"

"Yup. 3 days na. Ito nga nagpasabay na magpabili ng napkin. Wait, pasok na ako ah. Baka kailangan na niya."

I was left feeling relieved. But I still find it weird why she didn't tell me about it. Pero naisip ko baka nakalimutan lang niya. Finally, lumabas na siya. I greeted her with a huge smile on my face.

"I missed you", I said and hugged her.

"I missed you too", she responded.

"I thought magagalit ka na pumunta ako."

"Bakit naman? I was surprised nga eh. What's that?", she asked. Referring to the plastic bag that I'm holding.

"Ah this? Fruits for you. Just in case magcrave ka ulit", I said and handed her over the plastic bag.

"Thank you."

"So babe, speaking of cravings, uhm, ask ko lang ah, did you take the pregnancy test na ba?"

"Huh? Ah, di pa eh. I'm scared. Pero bukas, promise. Ready ka na ba sa result?"

Her answer left me speechless. I'm confused as hell. I'm waiting for her to tell me that she's got a period already, which means that she's not pregnant.

"Oh, bat biglang natahimik ka?", she asked.

"Nothing. Uhm, yah I'm ready. I told you naman diba? Whatever happens, magkasama tayo diyan. Uhm, panu, una na ako. Kinda tired din kasi from training. Gusto lang talaga kita makita. And I'm worried din sa situation mo."

"Don't worry. I'll be fine. Sige. Drive safely", she said.

She gave me a kiss and went inside. Then I noticed red stains at the back of her shorts. Confirmed, meron nga siya.

I don't really know what to feel. I hate to admit that Mika's playing with my emotions. Is she up for something? Bakit ayaw niya sabihin sa akin na meron siya? She knew for a fact that her possible pregnancy is one of my worries for more than a week now. Hindi ko maintindihan. Honestly? Parang nasasaktan ako.

I went home feeling confused. I wasn't able to eat. Wala akong gana. But I'm still waiting for her to say something. I texted her and asked if she ate her dinner already. But I was surprised when I read her reply.

"No eh. I'm craving for something. Hirap maglihi."

"What is it?", I replied.

"Ice cream."

"May mauutusan ka ba diyan para ibili ka?", I answered.

"Meron. Pero gusto ko ikaw bumili."

"Wait for me. I'll be there. What flavor?"

"Cookies and cream."

"Okay. Cookies and cream coming right up."

I drove back and with me is her request. I told her that I'm already outside. Nanginginig yung buong katawan ko sa galit. But I'm trying to hold back a little.

"Wow! Andito ka nga", she greeted.

"Hindi kita matiis", I said seriously.

"I know."

I handed her over the ice cream and walked away.

"Where are you going?", she asked.

"I'm going home. I hope I've proven myself already. Kung nakukulangan ka pa, I'm sorry."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm doing everything for you Mika. You don't have to play with my emotions just to make me do things that will make you feel loved. Kung gusto mo paglapitin ko ang taft at katipunan just for you to feel how much I love you, kahit imposible, kahit sa picture lang, susubukan kong gawin. You just don't have to do it desperately at my expense. Pinagmumukha mo akong tanga. Ang sakit, alam mo ba yun?"
