Dominic's POV
"Can we get me a desk?"
Delphine's sudden question causes me to raise my head at her. We were sitting in the kitchen I was enjoying a cup of coffee while she had been staring at me for the last few minutes.
"Sure go get your shoes." I grab my wallet and phone grabbing the truck keys. I don't know how many times I have to tell her to keep the keys with her as it's now her truck but she never listens.
She walks back in with her shoes on and her hair in a cute braid. We go to the truck and get in. I drive us to the shopping center.
I lead us to a small furniture store.
"What kind of desk do you want?" I look at her noticing how she keeps her gaze moving around the store.
"One with a lot of drawer space. Color doesn't really matter." She starts to move over to some.
After a while, we find a desk, white in color with two deep drawers on the side and a shallow one across the top. I ask one of the employees to put it towards the front for me. We go and grab a matching chair.
Delphine finds a small white, spinning chair. I grab it and put it in a cart I had her grab.
"All done?"
"Actually do you mind if I get a rug for my room?" She looks up at me with her green and blue eyes looking hopeful.
"Yep. Lead the way." We find the rugs on the other side of the store. She picks out a black rug.
We bring up all of the stuff to the front, and we check out and bring it out to the car. I lift up the desk as Delphine gives me encouragement as she puts it. I grab the chair as she grabs the rug and puts it in the truck bed.
We go home and I have Nico help me with the desk. When we get it in her room I help her assemble the desk.
"If you used the instructions it would be a lot easier." Delphine once again sassed me from her bed holding the piece of paper.
"It shouldn't be that hard it's a desk"
"Okay."
She continues to sit there watching me as I pretend to not struggle with this damn desk. I mean come on it really shouldn't be that hard to put together a simple desk. I hear her snickering as another piece doesn't fit together.
"Give me the damn instructions." I hold my hand out as she lets out laughter.
She comes and sits down next to me on the floor. She finds the pieces and helps me put them in the right spots. We sit together joking as we also put together her chair.
She puts her new rug on the wall next to her door. I help her lift the desk on the rug she pushes her chair in and grabs her things to go to the desk. I see her grab some pencil sets and a few notebooks.
"What's this?" I found a sketchbook on her bed near her pillows.
"Oh, just my sketchbook." I open it up and start looking through it finding different drawings. Some of the scenery, skulls, and a few snakes. Then the last one is of one of my tattoos. The one on my forearm, a skull with a spider crawling out of the eye.
I hand her a sketchbook for her to put in her desk. "They're good."
"Thank you."
I smile at her as she blushes a little. Looking at her desk she doesn't have anything on top of it. Everything is inside the drawers which I guess makes sense. She has the cleanest room I have ever seen from a teenager.
Leaving her room we all go out to the kitchen to cook dinner.
