Delphine's POV

After yesterday's incident, my dad made the executive decision to ignore the doctor telling us that I could go to school.

So, dad, has me stay not before sleeping in my room. I wasn't able to do my usual security measures but I did sleep through the night. Something about him next to me gives me an overwhelming feeling of security and warmth.

Waking up this morning he wasn't there but he left me a note.

Stay in bed most of the day.

I'll call you at lunch.

Try and get some more rest.

Love Dad

My headache went away probably from the 12+ hours of sleep I got. Getting up I go to my bathroom and do my basic hygiene.

It's almost noon and I'm starving. Walking to the kitchen I grab a small cutting board and a small kitchen knife and two potatoes.

Peeling the potatoes I grab a pan. When I pour in the oil I start humming a random tune.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jumping I turn around to find Nico fuming in the doorway.

"Cooking, why are you here?"

"Your dad had me take your truck so you weren't tempted to go anywhere or do anything like right now." He points to my cooking materials.

"What I'm hungry."

"Which is why your dad asked me to come here and make you something." He smirks at me smugly. He comes over to my food and takes over. He grabs another two potatoes.

"Sit down." I raise my eyebrows at him," Daddy's orders."

"Who the hell you calling 'daddy'?"

"I was calling your dad daddy but you can always call me daddy if you want." He smirks at me before wiggling his eyebrows.

"You are disgusting." I sneer at him as I take a seat.

"Good girl."

I scowl at him. He starts cooking my lunch and his.

"Why did you agree to come check on me?"

"I got to leave school for this, of course, I came."

"Damn here I thought you cared about." I start to playfully pout as he smiles at me.

mo"Nah"

"Jack ass," I mutter under my breath.

"I heard that."

"I heard that" I spoke in a deep voice trying to mimic him.

I can see him roll his eyes from here. I watch as he cooks.

"Here you go." He hands me a plate and sits next to me. We both eat in silence.

"Why did you pass out yesterday?"
