Delphine's POV
Walking to the kitchen I take my seat next to my Dad as he sits next to Cyrus. Honey sits at eh the head of the table with Cyrus on her left and Mina on her right. Nico sat next to Mina in front of my dad. An empty chair was on the other side of Nico and at the other end of the table.
The table was completely set as we all sat down and began to eat dinner. Usually, we would talk about school and work but we sat quiet tonight. When we finished my dad handed me my pill and a glass of water.
"Take your pill, take a bath and go to bed. I don't want to see you until morning." He tried to act stern but gave me a kiss on the forehead as soon as I nodded agreeing.
I slowly stood up and made my way to my room, I walked to my closet and grabbed a set of matching pajamas and of course clean undergarments. A short-sleeve shirt and a pair of shorts in black with white trimming. I walk into the bathroom and set the clothes on the bathroom counter along with a black towel.
I walk over to my bathtub and turn on the spout. When the water is warm enough I put the plug in and let it fill up. I work on getting changed meanwhile I changed out of my clothes using a similar method I used at the hospital. I took off my wrist brace and set it next to my clothes. I think as long as I don't use my wrist and put it back on when I'm done ill be fine. Right?"
With the tub halfway filled I get in and breathe in relief as the warm water covers me. I reach and grab my phone opening up my newly downloaded kindle app. I let the water continue to rise as I sit in the tub and read.
When the water covers my chest I lean forward and turn off the water laying back down. When the water started to get colder I unplugged the drain and sat up. The tub I had had a little sprayer that came out and let you take a sitting-down shower. Perfect for me.
I took my hair out of its braid and turned on the water again but used the sprayer. I wet my hair with one hand and used again one hand to roughly rub in shampoo. When I felt it was good enough I had to wash out my hair. It was a long-ass ordeal.
I had to run water over it and then put the water down and touch y hair to check for soap. I redid the process to put in conditioner and wash it out. I used my loofah and washed my body with one hand. This part was much easier. When I was completely clean of soap I got out and grabbed my towel.
I dried off my hand first and put on my brace with the extra support I used my other hand a little it to dry off. I put on my clothes again and go to grab my toothbrush. Not finding it I remember I never unpacked my hospital bag. I walk out of my room and grab the bag and bring the whole thing with me.
Taking out the dirty clothes I put them in the laundry hamper. I grabbed out my hairbrush toothbrush and my phone charger. At the bottom of my bag, my face wash was but something was underneath it. I grabbed it and lifted it out finding Nico's hoodie I woke up with. He must have forgotten it I put it on the counter. I'll give it back in the morning but I'm not in the mood to go upstairs and awkwardly give it to him.
Brushing my teeth and hair I leave the bathroom and put the hoodie on my desk. Laying down in bed it feels good to finally be able to sleep in my bed. The smell of alcohol and the freeing temperatures were so much different from the smell of pomegranates and the warm air. The feeling of death and misery was no longer lingering.
Laying in bed I stare up at the ceiling not being able to fall asleep. Getting up I grab Nico's hoodie and put it on. The comforting smell of sandalwood brings a small smile to my face as I lay down. After a few minutes, my eyes get heavy and close shut.
