Chapter 36- What?

Delphine's POV

Waking up the same way I have for over a week a wet tongue licks my nose. I scrunch up my nose but open my eyes to see my adorable puppy, Odi. I see the cute little ball of fur laying on my chest with his face all up in my business. 

I push his head away gently sitting up as he sits on my lap and looks up at me. Getting up I yawn as I make my way to the backyard to let him out. Odi has an internal alarm that ends up waking me up at 6 in the morning. With his classic puppy behavior, he will not go back to sleep. 

Thankfully he doesn't like to play this early so I am allowed to go to bed and play with him while watching tv and laying down. With his potty break done we go inside with him following close behind me. I let him go in first and shut the door. He puts his paws up on the side of my bed trying to climb up. 

I walk over and lift his small body up on the bed. He waddles over to my pillows and sits next to them with his back rubbing against the pillows. I get in as he cuddles up closer to my side. I turn on my tv turning on Scooby-Doo. I keep the volume low as again it's fucking early in the morning. 

I sit and watch tv with Odi as he lays done and falls asleep while I'm left awake. Looking at the time as I get up and go to my bathroom. I shut the door like any normal person would and started to do my routine. I'm standing up washing my face until I hear a scratch at my door a  whining noise. 

I open the door with soap still on my face to look down and see Odi staring at me sitting. I let him in the bathroom with me as he lays by my feet. I finish my routine and we both walk out to my closet. 

I pick out my outfit and lead us to the kitchen. I grab his food and water bowl getting himfresh water and breakfast. I set them on the ground before grabbing myself an apple. We sit there eating breakfast before I take us outside with one of his balls. I let him walk around the yard before I get his attention and throw the ball. 

We play catch for a while until my arm gets sore. I have us go back inside where everyone else is eating. Nico and Mina are sitting the table arguing but stop when i come in. I sit down and lift up Odi in my lap. 

"Delphine the dog can't be at the table," Cyrsu tells me while glaring at my poor defenseless puppy. 

"Leave my baby alone." I hug Odi closer to me kissing his forehead and receiving a kiss back. Cyrus rolls hie eyes as Honey coos at me puppy.

"You gonna let this stand?" Cyrus looks to my dad who is trying to eat his breakfast. 

"As long as shes happy and safe." I smile showing my joy at his answer. 

This causes everyone but Cyrus to laugh. I leave the kitchen and go to my room and resume our cartoon.  A few episodes later a knock on my door wakes up Odi who goes back to sleep. 

"Some guard dog. Come in." Nico walks into my room looking around the room. He sits down on my bed and stares at the comforter. 

"Are you okay Goldi?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to talk to you." I pause my show and turn my attention to him. 

"Go ahead" He sits up a bit more, takes a deep breath, and rushes out his words.

"So I maybe kinda um like you. And I wanted to ask you to go on a date tomorrow." He muds his words together. 

"You like me?" I point to myself before he nods. I nod my head understanding sitting there frozen. "Yes." His head shoots up with his eye wide.

"You'll go on a date with me?" He asks skeptically. 

"Yes."

"Great." He gets up and leaves my room. I can hear him move outside of my room. 

Mina-Mina: Do you know why Nico is jumping

Me: I may or may not have agreed to go on a date with him

Mina-Mina: Finally I am tired of yall sneaking glances at each other

Me: Excuse me

Mina-Mina: of mom is calling me 

Mina-Mina: BYE!!!!

 I laugh and close my phone unpausing my tv.
