Diana's P.O.V

I'm starting to get bored here. I just hope Tara gets home as soon as possible, because I am seriously getting bored here. There is no television in here, so there's nothing much to do in here.

I decided to just leave the house and enjoy the environment outside. Before going out, I got my phone, the house keys, and wallet. I started walking outside looking around the place of Manhattan. Suddenly, I noticed a camera flash but I didn't mind it knowing that it's too impossible that people around here know me.

There was another click of flash and this time I look at the direction where it came from. The flash came again when I look at the direction. Out of nowhere, a girl holding a microphone and a man holding a camera went towards me. There was a photographer as well.

I went back in walking again, and the three of them are still following me, so I stop on my tracks and turn around.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked raising an eyebrow

When they heard me spoke, the three of them walk towards me, this time the camera man is recording my actions.

"Are you Diana, Diana Rickards?" The girl holding the microphone asked

"Yes?" My answer was more of a question than an answer "May I help you?" I added

"Ah! Yes, we are actually from the Manhattan Productions and we decided to write an article about you" The girl replied

"Why me?" I asked simultaneously "I mean how did you know me?" I corrected myself

"Duh? I mean, who wouldn't know you?" She says with exaggeration "The girlfriend of the famous Niall Horan"

I laugh at her statement, "Correction right there. I am no longer Niall's girlfriend. Didn't you see the article in Google? He is with Cynthia Rose now" I explained

"What?!" Why would they be shocked? Isn't reporters and paparazzis know everything. "You mean, Cynthia Rose, Niall's ex-girlfriend got back together?"

"Why ask me? Go to New York City and interview both of them. I'm sure they'll face you with all pride" I walk away with dignity and pride all over my body

I turn my head back and saw the three of them with their jaws on the floor. I chuckled and went back in looking around my new place. I decided to buy myself a chocolate waffle. I sat on a chair while eating my waffle. I was in the middle of enjoying my delicious, chocolate waffle, when my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I answered the call

"Diana!" Tara screamed and it made me pull my phone away from my ear

"Can you please not shout, I'm not deaf" I said taking a big bite on my waffle

"Sorry" this time her voice isn't loud

"Okay, what is it?" I asked

"Well, I have a good news" I can sense the smile on her voice

"Go straight to the point, Tara" she is making me shout to the top of my lungs because she isn't going straight to the point

"I got the job!" She squealed

"Really?!"

"Yes!" She squealed once more

"Congratulations! Let's have a dinner at a restaurant later on" I said

"Sure! Bye" we both hang up our phones

I finished eating my waffle and went back home.

Oh! I'm so grateful about my bestfriend getting the job, at least, we are already sure about our monthly income. Now, it's only up to me to make both Tara and I's life better. If I get the job, then we'll have a stable life and that could make Tara file charges against her bastard ex-boyfriend.

We need justice for this. Blake can't just leave Tara in the air like that. I mean using her body and after knowing the effect of their actions, he will just fly away like a dirt being carried by the wind. Of course, he can't do that. I'm thankful that Niall could afford protection, cause if not, I would probably be pregnant right now.

And if I get pregnant, Niall has the possibility to leave me even though, he told me he loves me, wants to have a family with me, and have a happily ever after living with me. You know, you can't trust anyone now a days.

Granny told me once that, "Anyone could be my friend, but everyone could be my enemy as well". That's why, I decided to just trust Tara, granny, and myself. For me, no one is my friend because they can put you down, anytime. If you are wondering about Tara, well I don't consider her as a friend. She is a family.

There are differences between a friend and a family. Friends are temporary. They are only there if they need something from you and they will act so nice if there's something they want from you, but if they don't need you, they just vanish into the air like a bubble being popped by a needle. Meanwhile, the family is the only group of people who are always there for you. Take note, no matter what happens. Whether you are up or down, your family will always be there for you.

In short, they don't use you because they know how much it will hurt you once you realize that you are just like an item being tossed around.

I arrived at our front door and immediately unlock it. I went in the house and let my body fall on my bed.

I'm afraid that my eyes will shut in a few minutes, so I decided to take a nap. I immediately got up when I heard the door shut. I look at the person who just got in and it's Tara. I immediately ran to her and gave her a tight hug.

I let go of her and said, "I'm so happy for you"

"It was totally amazing" Tara said "I even did a sample for them, and when they saw it, the management immediately hired me" she said happily

"You are already one step in achieving your dreams" I compliments

We sat on the dining chairs facing each other, "The management says that, I'll be starting tomorrow" she said

"Well, that's totally great!" I smiled widely
