Maura's P.O.V

"Do you feel any pain?" I asked putting the back of my hand on his forehead "Do you want me to call the doctor?".

He did not reply.

Niall just turn away. I was about to walk away when I felt a hand on my arm. I look back at Niall, seeing him holding my hand. His eyes are shining. Those blue iris sparkles, but I can sense pain in his eyes.

"What do you want, son?" I asked and with that he let go of my arm.

I can tell that he tries to process the whole question in his mind, and it made him let a tear fall from his eyes.

"M-M-M-M-Mom d-d-do you think Di-Diana will forgive me?" His voice is shaky.

I give him a weak smile and answered, "You know son, forgiving someone is a long process. Maybe, if she tries to listen to your explanation then there's a chance that she will forgive you" the truth is, I'm really not sure if Diana will forgive him but if I'll tell him that it will just make him depressed that could lead to a serious problem with his health, and I don't want that to happen.

"I want her mom. I need her" oh dear! How could I get Diana and give it to him. It's not easy.

Diana's P.O.V

Today, I woke up really early. I totally forgot to tell you guys that I got the job as the secretary. Now, my best friend and I are financially stable. I went in the bathroom and took a quick shower. I put on a white blouse and ripped-knee jeans.

We don't actually have uniforms in the company, that's why we could wear anything that we want. I got out of the appartment with Tara and went in my car. I dropped Tara into her working place, while I drove straight to mine.

I parked my car in front of the entrance. I went out of my car, sling my bag on the shoulder, and headed in.

"Good morning!" The receptionist greeted me and I smiled back.

I went in the elevator and press the button to my floor. When the lift stopped at the third floor, it slides open. Why did the lift stop? This isn't my floor. I was surprised to see Austin's face when the lift opened. He came in looking at his tie and made sure it was tied properly.

Austin stood beside me and press the 30th floor. I look at him and he look back at me, his eyes widen seeing me.

"Diana?" He ask as if he couldn't believe to what he's seeing.

"Hey!" I smiled shyly.

"What a small world" Austin chuckles "You work here?" He added.

"Yes! I'm the new secretary" I answered "You work here, as well?" I ask.

"Apparently, yes I do. I am the CEO of this company" he smiled in awe.

"Oh my goodness! Are you serious?" I can't believe it "I'm sorry, sir." I bow my head lightly feeling so ashamed of myself.

Austin laugh, "I'm sorry, I wasn't there to interview you. My assistant did the interview for me, because I have to attend an urgent meeting".

This is going to be awkward. The lift stopped on my floor and the door slides open. I look at Austin and said.

"I guess, I'll go first" I said "Bye".

"Yeah! See you" he wave good bye and I step out of the lift and went straight to my desk.

I settled my things on my desk and sat on my chair. I turn the computer on and started doing my job. I pulled the pink post-its sticked on my pin board.

Schedule Mr. Carter's appointment with the Lee Enterprise.

Make sure that all the forms are signed by the officers, after all the spaces are signed, pass it to Mr. Austin Carter.

Oh, so I'll be seeing Austin's office later. Well, as what he said a while ago, he is the CEO of this company. Wait! So does this make him rich too?

Duh? Diana, could you please use your common sense all the time.

I shook my head and started running my fingers through my keyboard, checking all the available time that Mr. Carter could have for his meeting with the Lee Enterprise. There you go, I found a space on Friday and that's where I immediately scheduled the meeting. I move to my right where the telephone is placed and dialed the Lee Enterprise's number.

"Hello? Lee Enterpise. How would you like me to help you?" I could tell an Asian girl answered the call.

"Uhm.. Hello! This is the Carter Queens Inc. I am the secretary of the company and I would just like to inform you that Mr. Carter scheduled a meeting with Mr. Shiyotakashi Lee" I said with my professional voice.

"Ah! Yes, can you please tell me the information" she said on the other line.

"On friday, at 2:45 pm. The venue will be held at 16th floor of Carter Queens Inc. meeting room" I answered.

"Okay! Thank you" we both hang-up the phone.

One down and one more to go.

I stood up from my seat and went to the filing drawers and cabinets. I started looking for the papers that was meant to be signed by the officers. Oops! Found it! I pulled the folder out of the drawer and open it checking if I got the right folder.

After confirming that it was the right one, I started walking around the office. First is Mrs. Schneider, next is Ms. Sandlers, then, Mr. Roberts, and lastly is Mr. Fredrick. After letting all the officers signed the designated spaces, I started walking headed to the elevator.

I press the button to his floor and lean on the mirror wall. I look at my watch and I didn't realize that it's already 1:50 in the afternoon, and I haven't ate my lunch.

The lift stopped and the door slides open. I went out and started walking, looking for Austin's office.
