93. Clarification

Niall's P.O.V
I was about to go out of the meeting room when suddenly, Austin immediately closes the door and lock it. I stop on my tracks, place my hands in my pockets, and look at him skeptically.

There was actually a moment of silence between us. First of all, I don't know what to say because I have no idea why he locked the door and won't let me out and lastly, Austin should be the one to speak first becuase it is his fault why I am not talking, if he actually is waiting for me to talk.

I won't say anything because I have nothing to say and I can sense that Austin has a problem with me, so I just lean on the table and waited for him to talk.

"What are you doing here?" Finally, after a millenium of waiting, Austin finally spoke.

I let out a chuckle. "Isn't it obvious why I am here? You came in, in this meeting room and you have no idea why am I here?" I said looking straight to his eyes. "If you still don't have a clue then I'll tell you. I came here because my dad and I are planning to invest in your company" I added.

"Is it just a coincidence that the company you and your dad are planning to invest in, happens to be our company or you did it on purpose because you knew Diana is working here?" His tone change when he mention Diana's name.

"It was actually only a while ago when I learned that Diana works here, besides I wasn't here in the United States for three months" I said.

"Let me clarify things to you, okay? You are here because of business, just business. If you are planning to take her with you again, I'm telling you to stop right now. If you still love her, let her go." This conversation is seriously going nowhere. "Diana is happy now. She is happy for what she have. She is happy with me" the last statement makes me want to gag, to be honest.

"The last time I heard about you, coming out from her mouth, is that she thinks you're a total creep" I smirk.

Austin walk towards me and stop just a meter away. His expression right now is undescribable. His whole face is red and the veins on his face are visible. He clenches his teeth, trying to impersonate hulk.

"I'm warning you Niall. Once you laid a hand on Diana, you're ending up at your front door with blood all over your face" I don't think he can do that. If he can, he might just end up behind those bars.

"We'll see!" I tease.

I started walking towards the door, unlock it, turn the knob, and open the door. Suddenly, Diana's face appeared and her hands were on her mouth, with her eyes popping out. I'm guessing that she heard everything.

I turn around to look at Austin and his face is shock too, after knowing that Diana is outside the door listening to our conversation. I chuckled and started walking outside.

I went in the elevator and went down to the ground floor. The meeting has ended so my next destination is going home.

Diana's P.O.V

Instead of knocking on the door, I just decided to press my ear on the door to listen to what they are talking about. Everytime both of them exchange words, my eyes widen and my jaw drops.

When the door open, the first person I see is Niall. I look at him and turn to look at Austin with my hands on my mouth.

Niall turned around to look at Austin and back to me. A smirk formed on his lips and he just started walking towards the elevator.

I drop my hands from my mouth, turn around, and started walking away. I am still shock with what Austin said. All these time, I trusted him because I thought he was always there for me, because we are friends but guess what, I was dead wrong.

"Diana! Wait" Austin shouts and I hear the meeting room door closes.

I stop walking and just stood there.

Austin went in front of me and tried to cup my cheek, but I immediately move my face. I don't want him touching my skin. I am so disgusted. He thinks I like him too, well he is so wrong for thinking of that.

"Diana!" I hear him shout, but I didn't look back.

(Sorry for the short chapter and for the late updates it's just that I am very busy studying for my exams and yeah!
