9. I Need An Explanation

I went in the room and closed the sliding door that leads to the balcony. I placed my phone on the side table and lie on the bed staring at the white ceiling. Suddenly I heard a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said in a weak voice

The door slowly open and Niall went in. He close the door gently making no sound. He sat on the edge of the bed in front of me. I pulled the sheets and cover myself with it.

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"I just wanted to let you know that I already appologized to my mother" Niall answered sincerely

"Well, that's good" was the only thing that I said cause I obviously don't have any idea what to say

"And I'm sorry for being so selfish" he said

"Okay!" I said

"So you forgive me?" he asks with his cute accent

"Yeah!" I shrug

"So you're going to sleep with me tonight?" Niall asked

"Uh...No!" I said emphasizing the last word

"You know it's pretty cozy in my room" Niall tries to convince me

"It's really nice to sleep in a cozy room ALONE" I said

"Oh C'mon!" Niall complains

"Just go to your room!" I scowl

Niall frowns and walk out. I sigh. It's an hour past nine and I still can't sleep. I decided to go out. I sneak downstairs headed to the kitchen. I started to look for something to eat, so I went opening each cupboard. I found a bucket of popcorn, so I got it and went to the living room.

I turn the t.v. on and chose a movie to watch called Step Brothers. The movie started playing and I started eating the popcorn. I promise myself that I'm going to pay Maura or Niall tomorrow, because of the popcorn.

I can't stop laughing while watching the movie, cause it's hilarious. Suddenly Niall appeared.

"What are you doing here?" he asked in his husky voice

"Watching a movie. I'm going to pay you or your mom tomorrow for the popcorn" I answered and went back in watching the movie

"You don't have to pay for it" Niall chuckled and went in the kitchen

Niall came back to the living room holding two cans of soda. He sits beside me and hands me a can of soda.

"You know I'm already in the middle of the movie!" I open the can of soda and brought it into my lips

"I know.....I've watch this movie hundreds of times" Niall replied

"Oh!" I said putting the bucket of popcorn between us so we could eat together

Niall and I were laughing really hard at the part were Will Ferrel was burried alive. Niall stood up from the couch and walk away. Before he reach the stairs, he turn to look at me.

"I'm going to sleep!" Niall said

"Okay....good night!" I replied

"Good night!" I can feel the happiness in Niall's voice when he replied

When the movie ended, I fell asleep on the couch.

I woke up in the morning finding myself lying on one of the couch. I immediately clean my mess and went upstairs to the room that was provided for me. I took a shower and change my clothes into a running shorts and printed shirt. I brush my teeth and tie my hair into a high pony tail. I went downstairs and found Darcy cleaning the living room.

"I'm really sorry about the mess" I said

"It's okay. It's my job to clean the house, besides you already clean the half" Darcy replied with her sweet voice

"It's nice to talk to you again!" I smiled

Darcy smiled as a reply.

"Can I cook the breakfast?" I asked

"Oh no! I don't think that will be okay with sir Niall" Darcy answered

"Oh! C'mon I'm sure it will be okay with him" I beg

"Okay!" Darcy replied

"Yes!" I exclaimed

I went in the kitchen and started cooking our breakfast. I decided to cook bacon and a peanut butter jelly sandwich. When I was done I placed them all in the dining table and went back to the kitchen to make Maura a cuppa and me and Niall a milk.

When everything was all set, I asked Darcy to tell Maura and Niall that breakfast is ready and she gladly followed. I started looking at the pictures placed on the walls to keep myself busy, while waiting for Maura and Niall.

After a few minutes of waiting, Niall and Maura were already going down the stairs. When Maura saw me, she smiled.

"Good morning Diana!" she said

"Good Morning!" I replied

We all went to the dining room and started eating. I can't stop staring at Maura's expression while she eats the food, cause I'm not sure if she likes the food. Niall's expression less either. Darcy is standing near the door frame watching us eat and I stared at her and smiled hoping that Niall didn't notice it. I guess he didn't, cause he was too busy eating his food.

"Darcy! You're cooking skills improved" Maura compliments

"Actually, madame I wasn't the one who made the breakfast" Darcy said

"Who?" Niall asks

"It was Ms. Diana" Darcy's voice shakes

"What did I told you about talking to her?" Niall is becoming angry

"She did not talk to me. I just went straight to the kitchen" I said defending Darcy

"Good!" Niall said glaring at Darcy

"The food is delicious" Maura compliments me

"Thanks!" I replied
